🎶 I just took a DNA test guess what, I'm a hundred and one percent average human,
and baby don't you know that's the human in me,
Bling bling..🎶

Lizzo's song blast through the speakers sending adrenaline through my veins . Despite my body's urge to lay down and do nothing, especially to slap the amusement off my coaches face,I'm good.

' Up ,down, strike ,run for it,change strategy, be on your toes. Are you going to let those balls hit you....I don't thinks so missy.'

I don't know if am pouting or just exaggerating, but...since when did basketball and soccer become one ?I've been at this for hours. Coach won't let me even take a break just because my mom said I ate a lot of food last week at Cameron's. Which is true but Riley is supposed to be here too. I still remember how much fun it was. We stayed there for three days. Some huge accident happened which lead to a road block until everything was cleared.

Oliva and Jack would bring chocolates and video games. I'd get mad when I didn't play either of the games right. David wouldn't stop bugging me to tell him everything about Riley. The spark in his eyes whenever she walked into the room or hear her name get mentioned, one could tell it was love at first site. Nick and I would talk and pull pranks on the guys. I must admit, I never liked his vibe but it turns out we have so much in common. I'm glad Cameron didn't mention  anything about us to them. It's better if things stay like this for now.

Cameron and Jasper on the other hand would work out or disappear somewhere. I've always wanted to know what they were up to but I just stayed away. It doesn't mean I didn't notice how Jasper would always stare at me with that burning gaze in his eyes. I could feel his eyes undress me. Especially when he eyes you up and down ,dzamn! Its a complete train wreck. He never talked to me ever since that day in his room. Just stared. Creep!!

No matter how hard I tried to avoid Jasper we'd always bump into each other . Its like his everywhere, watching me.

" You know your a solid one kid. You should take sports for a career. I mean your better off than those dogs I coach."

I laugh placing my hands on my knees. I take in small steady breathes. Sweat trickles down my skin drenching my clothes.

" I'll pass. I only do other sports because there's nothing else fun to do here." My legs finally give up and I drop to the ground. Is it so much to want to just breathe a different air, walk on different grounds, meet new faces.

" Kid, school is not all paradise. You should count yourself lucky you know. Things are intense. Especially for kids your age. " What do I know about kids my age!

" But don't you think it's best to meet new challenges so that one can learn from them and become stronger." Coach squats near me and ruffles my hair. I glare at him but he smiles.

" A word of advice kido. Take things slow. Don't rush ,don't push too hard. Live in the moment when you still can. You have a long way ahead of you."

Or maybe a highway. Coach leaves after making me run for six laps non-stop.

I fall on my bed without taking my shoes off. How soft, snuggly pillows uuu! If I just close my eyes for ten minutes it will all be........."Aaaaargh!"

In a matter of seconds my body lands on the floor with a big thud.

" Casssseeeey!! You won't believe it."
I rub my ankle burying my face in my hands. Jezzz! Ten minutes, ten minutes is all I asked for. I pull my blanket from my bed and cover my body, hiding from Riley's wrath. I hear footsteps near me and stop. I wait for reaction but nothing. I peek out of the blanket to find Riley on top of the bed smiling down on me.
