Chapter 8: Arriving Home

*3rd Person POV*

Ryder and the others are now in Vlad's Jet that was built by Addison the Constrution pup.

Chase and the others are starting to feel the fear and the anxiety of the situation, not knowing what the future holds for them just sends shivers down their spine.

Luckily there is someone that will comfort Chase's soul.

"Hey Chase you doing okay?" a certain Syberian Husky asked

"Oh hey Everest." Chase said

"You seem to be stressed, you doing okay?" she asked worried for the German Shepherd

"Yea Everest i'm okay it's just.... I just can't believe we're about to face something we haven't done before..." Chase said

"You, Worried? Well that's a first hehe."

"It's not funny..."

"I know, just messing with you"

Then silence fills the room. It was like both pups we're deep in thought, not knowing what to say.

"Hey Everest, How come your so cheerful and full of happiness in this dreading situation?" Chase asks breaking the silence

"Huh me cheerful? I'm scared as you are Chase, but...." she replies

"But...."

"But knowing that there will always be someone by your side through the ups and downs, the situation doesn't become that scary anymore.." 

"Everest..."

Before Chase could continue Everest rested her head on his shoulder.

"It's ok Chase, everything will be okay in the end... right?" she asks

He was silent for a moment. Just like that time with Skye on the balcony, he didn't knew what or how to reply to it. He wasn't sure of himself, the doubt has crept on his mind the moment the situation got real at Adventure Bay. But for the sake of comfort, he answered:

"I hope so..."

"I hope so too..." she said

She then proceeded to rest in his shoulder. For some reason Chase hearing Everest sleeping soundly makes him relaxed, calm and collected. Thanks to Everest, Chase felt like he was safe, he felt reassured knowing that there will always be someone by his side no matter what. Like she was the sister he never had, or the twin that he got separated from.

"Thanks Everest" he whispered before resting in the comfort of Everest's soft and comfy fur.

While the two pups we're sleeping soundly Lucas the husky was checking up on his teammate, Addison.

"Yo Addison!" Lucas screamed

"Hey Lucas, What'cha doing?" Addison asked

"Well just checking up on you that's all" Lucas Said

"Aw that's sweet of you Lucas thanks" she said as she was about to grab her toolkit and head out of the engine room.

"Oh ok" Lucas said as his face was flushing bright red.

Right before she got out somehow she tripped and squealed, Lucas hearing this then went to her and was able to catch her.

"Whoa you ok Addison" Lucas asked the now Blushing Golden Retriever.

"Oh me? Yea yea i'm fine... Though thanks for catching me Lucas!" she said blushing

"Oh no probs Addison." he said also blushing as he carries Addison on his back to the main room.
