I let out a yawn "are you ever gonna wake up before ten?" May asks with a smug expression "nope now let's eat breakfast and then we can watch the broadcast" I say we grab some food and go back I turn on the TV "today we'll cover the life threatening catastrophe we like to call the 'Aqua incident' now first we have Archie the former leader of team Aqua he said he had something to say" they cut away to Archie "I would like to apologize the two teenagers Brendan Yuki and May Birch are innocent" me and May smile at each other when something wipes the smile away "yeah right!" Someone shouts "those two should be locked up" someone else yells "I bet they threatened him and told him to say that" me and May are stunned "no that is not true ye landlubbers" he says visibly angry they cut back to the news room "those two are still missing but if you find them call the police" I turn the TV off "those those AGH I SAVED ALL OF THEM AND THEY STILL THINK WE'RE CRIMINALS" I shout fuming "we'll have to find another way let's just take our minds off it how about you challenge the gym I heard Wallace is soon going to quit to do contest spectaculars with his niece" May says "wait who's his niece I've studied gym leaders in Johto, Kanto, and Hoenn but I never knew he had niece" I say "uh I think it's Lisia she told me that Wallace is her uncle" May explains "oh well you're right then I should get going" I grab my bag and start to run to the gym there's just a few stairs and then the battle ground "weird I thought there was a sliding ice puzzle here well whatever" I say walking up the stairs "so Ruby you're here to challenge me well are you sure you're ready for my dazzling performance?" He asks I nod and ready Blaziken? "Wait wh-where's Breloom he should be in my bag how am I supposed to beat the water gym without Breloom?!" I ask digging through my bag "Ruby!" I hear someone yell I look it's May "catch" she throws a Pokéball it's Breloom "thanks Sapphire!" I say cheerfully then throw him out "Luvdisc" he sends out a small pink heart shaped fish Pokémon "seed bomb" Luvdisc goes down "Whiscash" he sends out the same Pokémon Archie had "seed bomb" I command Whiscash goes down "Sealeo" he sends out the same Pokémon Walrein was before it evolved into Walrein "sky uppercut" I command Breloom uppercuts Sealeo going high up and landing in front of me as Sealeo lands it's fainted "Seaking" he sends out a red fish Pokémon with a white horn "seed bomb" I say it doesn't faint "horn drill" he says Seaking stabs Breloom with it's horn and starts spinning OHKOing Breloom "didn't think about that clever" I say then I have to take a second to decide who to send out next "can't win with type advantages then let's win with raw strength Metagross" I send it out "iron head" Metagross charges at Seaking facing it's head at it fainting it "Milotic" he sends out a long sea snake Pokémon with a mixture of colors pink, blue, and cream "this is a bad idea but whatever by the light of my key stone and the light of my Metgrossite merge" I say holding the key stone up as it mega evolves I hold my arms in front of me "earthquake" I say I jump up landing when Metagross lands Milotic somehow faints in one hit Metagross reverts to it's normal form I feel normal "well I award you with the Rain badge" he hands me a badge that looks like three rain drops connecting I put it in my badge case "I would recommend taking on the Hoenn elite four if you defeat them you will be able to take on the champion" he recommends me "oh I will" I say smirking I start to walk out when May stops me "Ruby! Are you okay does your head hurt?!" She asks worried about me "I'm okay my head doesn't hurt I feel great" I say "Ruby that's... Great! That means you can mega evolve at any time you want!" She says cheerfully "oh right didn't think that far ahead" I let out a slight laugh we walk out as the entire news cast is standing at the door "would you mind if we get a interview with you and your girlfriend?" She asks I blush "yeah you uh can but um she's not my girlfriend" I say then mumble to myself "I wish" she looks back at the crew "roll the cameras" she says they press a button "hello everyone I'm here with Ruby Kogane and um his friend" she says "now did you see the broadcast this morning?" She asks me "uh yeah I did" I answer awkwardly "can you believe that Archie tried to pardon those two kids what's your opinion on them?" She asks "I think they're innocent maybe try to remember that they took from the aqua hideout in Lilycove at the time Archie was the boss of team Aqua if it weren't for them none of you would be here they took the masterball so Archie couldn't catch it" I say "haha that's a good joke" the news caster says I sigh "hey Sapphire you go to our room" she walks off I pull my hat over my face "what are you doing?" Sapphire are you hearing anything I'm saying and you're talking about a level head goodness" I say "FINE if you're not going to calm down I'll just leave" she says angrily walking out slamming the door I stay angry eventually I just fall asleep I wake up May isn't here "I was to harsh on her I should apologize" I find my phone and call her she doesn't pick up "this isn't good I don't know where she is and she's still mad at me I'm sure of it" I have to think for a second "wait! We turned on location so I can see where she is" I check it she's in Rustboro "goodness she got far away it was like eleven how didn't she fall asleep on Altaria I mean I almost did once" I run out and send Salamence out "fly" I jump on and soar to Rustboro I look around I find her phone on the ground "here it is but she's not here" I look around the whole town and she's nowhere to be found all I find is her bag and phone I fly to Sootopolis and go back to my room "there's no way I can check the whole region she's gone I'll have to accept that" I say just trying not to cry but I can't help it I sob into my hat "she's gone I'll never see her again I never even got to tell her how I felt" I hear the door open I look up "Sapphire" I say she's there wearing a team Magma outfit but instead of a dark red area under the short sweater it's cut off and much shorter shorts "S-Sapphire wha-what are you wearing!?" She asks flirtatiously "n-no" I say she starts to walk towards me I look at her up and down she puts a finger on my chest then slowly drags it up to my chin the has her whole hand there she pushes my head up to the point where I'm looking at her eyes "eyes are up here sweetie" she says I don't know what to do she starts to slowly lean on me to the point where my back is on the bed she's directly on top of me I try to look away but she pushes my head back "ah ah ah you don't want to miss this" she starts kissing me I'm frozen it's really nice like really really nice but I know that it's not May she eventually lifts her face "so how was that?" She asks with a smirk I have to take a second to decide whether to say that it's not her or not say anything "I don't know what to say" I say "well did you like it?" I ask teasingly "of course I don't need all my Pokémon" I return Walrein then wait "then come at me I'm sure my mind's to strong to be hypnotized" I say with a taunting smirk on my face "okay then Malamar" it floats over to me and starts to hypnotize me I can feel my mind get weaker I drop the Pokéball that was in my hand Armaldo's Pokéball "now come with me" she says "yes master" me and May say Malamar faints from my Armaldo "heh gotcha" I say if she tries to get me Armaldo will stop her I fall to the ground and everything fades to black I wake up May's still asleep and now it's morning we must've passed out and slept all night I run over to her and wait she wakes up "Sapphire oh Sapphire" my relief is inexpressible I hug her tightly "I'm so sorry I lost it I wasn't thinking you were right I should of calmed down" I say I feel her hands wrap around the top of my back I can hear a quiet sob "I'm sorry Ruby I'm sorry I know I'm horrible I seen Britney after I stormed out and I tried to stop her I should of went back and apologized" she says "Sapphire don't get down on yourself it's my fault I lost my temper it's just-" she cuts me off "I get it you're just stressed aren't you?" She asks "yeah but it doesn't matter right now you're okay" I say pulling her even closer "please don't go running off again" I beg she begins sobbing again "don't keep it in just cry it's okay" I say running my hand up and down from her waist to the top of her back "Ruby" she says "yeah" I say "I need to tell you something" she says "okay what is it?" I ask she let's go of me and stands up I get up to "Ruby... I love you"
