Parties are always better in great company and our family and friends are among the best. Today we are challenging you to write an LGBTQ+ themed short story in the comments below that involves LGBTQ+ family settings.

Prompts:

1) Describe the first time you introduced a boyfriend or girlfriend to your immediate family.

2) You always think that you're the gay/queer cousin in your family. Until your sibling comes out on Thanksgiving dinner. How do your family members take the news?

This is an open prompt, so how you choose to interpret it is up to you as a writer. Is it a humor story? A feel-good romance? A work of fantasy? A dark and twisted mystery?
