S A N A

"I don't want to drink tonight." I looked up at Jihyo.

Jihyo took her place next to me and handed me  a shot glass. "Had a feeling you would say that. Minsoo told me about...her."

I gulped and decided to take the shot.

It pained me.

It really cut through me, and this alcohol didn't make it any better.

She didn't agree to come to my wedding. I really hoped she would.

Maybe then she could object.

"Tell you what," Jihyo started rumbling through her bag. "Why don't you write a letter to her, and then pass it to Minsoo who can give it?"

"But-"

"No buts. I'm practically your therapist at this point, so just do it." Jihyo rested her head on my shoulder. "Also because you're bringing this party down and it's your wedding day tomorrow."

"Mmhm." I hummed. "Fine, I'll do it."

More shots, and more sad karaoke made the night much more forgettable than I had originally planned. I took a glance at Dahyun, who was already passed out on the sofa, and looked at Mina, who was tidying the glasses.

"Mina," She looked up at me. "Do you think I'm doing the right thing?"

Mina stopped for a moment and put the shot glasses down. She shrugged and pointed to the letter I had written. "Do YOU think you're doing the right thing?"

"I don't know, Mina." I confessed. "I loved Tzuyu with all I had but I guess she needed much more space than I needed."

For the first time, Mina was the one who gave me a big hug. "It's okay, unnie. Sometimes we all have different perceptions and viewpoints, but they're all of the same subject."

"What is that meant to mean?"

"I mean, no matter which way you look at it, it's all of the same thing. You think getting married is a pain, your father thinks it's good for the whole family, Euntae doesn't want it either, and Tzuyu doesn't want to think about it." Mina let go of me. "But it's all the wedding and you that they're thinking about."

"I'm too drunk to understand a word you're saying."

"Hm. Figured." Mina laughed.

Me being partially hungover didn't make walking down the aisle any easier.

If anything, it made me look like a drunkard who had just blown the place up less than seven hours ago (which I did).

I scanned the crowd, hoping that a certain someone would be there, but she wasn't. Expected, I told myself, not as if she wanted to see me again.

The wedding ceremony went by slowly.

All the words, all the laughter from the guests, and the feeling of Euntae's clammy hands did not make this day any better for me.

Time went by ever so slowly, and I knew Euntae felt the same way as I did.

We knew time was racing, and there was nothing we could do.

"Jung Euntae, do you take Minatozaki Sana to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

A pause.

"I...I do."

The priest turned to me. "And Miss Minatozaki Sana, do you take Jung Euntae to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

I looked out into the crowd, who were sent into a flurry of whispers.

Something caught my eye, however, and it was the head of someone's long brown hair in the flood of cameras outside. I turned to Euntae, and back to the hair, but it was gone.

I'm going crazy. I whispered under my breath.

"Miss Minatozaki?" The priest disturbed me. "Do you?"

I took a deep breath in.

"I do."

N A Y E O N

It was an understatement to say that the news wasn't packed with the wedding of two of the world's largest businessmen's children.

Even newspapers and youtube were filled with it, hence why Tzuyu decided to take a break from social media.

"Let's go for drinks." I patted Tzuyu on the back. "My treat."

"I'm underage here."

"You were underage in Korea too."

"I'm not bothered."

"Suit yourself." Areum threw one of Tzuyu's stuffed toys. "We'll get you some food, you slug."

"Thanks, you aardvark."

Areum frowned and headed out.

I looked back at Tzuyu and gave her a surprise hug before heading out.

"She seems so sad." Areum said whilst turning the driving wheel.

"What do you expect? The news of the marriage was everywhere." I answered, and Areum nodded. "Not to mention that Tzuyu was there when Sana said 'I do'. That shit's painful man."

Areum whistled an unknown tune, and we decided to stop speaking then.

Yeah. Painful. Tzuyu's been through so much.
