S A N A

Tzuyu stood by the air hockey counter as I went to the desk to collect an item. I watched as she giggled at the screen, biting her nails as I did so.

"You're Eito Minatozaki's daughter, right?" The lady at the counter asked.

I nodded slightly.

"Well what are you doing at a place like this, then?" She asked, handing over the picture from the photobooth.

I simply shrugged my shoulders and began to head off.

"Just having some occasional fun." I smiled and walked away.

I stuffed the picture into my bag and ran up to Tzuyu who was on her phone. I peered over her shoulder to see who she was texting, and she immediately jumped in shock, clutching her phone to her chest.

"What's that?" I sneered. "Texting a secret boyfriend, I guess?" I laughed, expecting something casual like a 'no, no' or, 'just a friend'.

She stopped for a few seconds, and even in the dim background light, I saw her cheeks dusted with pink.

"Hm, no." I heard a small giggle from her. "I don't think I could ever have a boyfriend.

And then a small whisper came from her lips, her head turned away from me.

"I don't like boys."

I paused for a moment as she looked up at me, her face suddenly stricken with panic. As if automatically, she waved her hands furiously, trying to brush off the topic.

"Ah, I'm sorry!" She fumbled. "That— that- you didn't hear anything!" She bowed and ran out of the arcade, leaving me chuckling to myself as I followed after her.

The waitress placed the bowls of ramyeon down on the table, and Tzuyu immediately grabbed her chopsticks to eat. She picked up a large chunk of noodles and stuffed it into her mouth.

She must be starving. I thought to myself. After all, we did go to a lot of places today. The park, the arcade, the antique shop. Sheesh, even I would be hungry.

She looked up at me cautiously and swallowed the food in her mouth. "Do you want something?"

I hadn't even realised I was staring at her, and I felt myself becoming flustered as I began to eat.

There was a sort of comfortable silence as we ate, the occasional sound of a baby crying, and an ambulance driving past.

This silence was oddly nice.

As if I could bathe in it.

"So you don't like boys, huh?" I suddenly blurted out, as she was halfway through eating her food. She looked at me, her cheeks stuffed like hamsters.

"Wer, yesh. Buh I fot we woodunt bing vat oop." She seemed to speak gibberish.

(A/N: translation "Well, yes. But I thought we wouldn't bring that up.")

I laughed at her antic as she gulped, finishing the food in her mouth.

"Why don't you like boys then?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "Well, I've never dated or had an experience with one. I guess I'm just attracted to girls. Plus, I don't have a dad who can teach me what a real man is meant to be like, so I find all boys a real pain in the ass."
