The moon light lit the way as her paws dug into the soil rapidly. Her vision was clear as day and she ran effortlessly. Her senses were on high alert as she heart them gaining in on her. She turned her head slightly to the side to catch a glimpse of them. They were still pretty far behind. She decided to lead them to an open field so they could go all out on each other.

She came to a halt at a clearing with minimal trees and mostly grass covering the ground. She growled and the three other wolves ran in her direction. She was tackled to the ground by a honey brown wolf who nipped at her. She got back on her feet and tackled him back. They rolled on the ground a couple of times before finally releasing each other.

The two other wolves had sat in their bellies watching them play around. She strutted over to the light grey wolf and nudged her with her muzzle.  The grey wolf whined and rolled over on her back. Her expression was sad as she rolled over.

She turned her head to the dark brown wolf and growled at him. He growled back and she growled louder. He bowed his head to the side and whined. She walked over to him and ran her paws over his face, telling him it was okay.

He looked at her before running off to the other side of the forest along with the honey brown wolf. She watched them run into the forest, disappearing,  before sitting next to the sad grey wolf.

They came back out of the forest but not as wolves. They came back as Logan and Jacob. They bother hand shorts on and they both were shirtless. They walked forward until they reached where the other wolves laid.

Logan crouched down and placed clothing in front of her. She got up and looked at him.

"You and Claire should go change." He said and she understood. She growled lightly at Claire and they both took off into the forest.

I gritted my teeth in pain as my bones reset itself. I had satisfied my urge to run but this time I let my wolf go for a run. It was thrilling to run in wolf form again. I got into the clothes Logan handed me and so did Claire. A crop top and shorts for me and a tank top and shorts for her.

"Done?" I asked to her with a smile.

"Yeah." She smiled back sadly.

I took her hand and we walked out together. The boys were laying on the floor with their arms spread out. We took out seat beside them, sitting crisscross.

"Isn't it just beautiful?" Logan whispered. Claire and I looked up at what he was going on about and saw the stars in the sky. I gasped in awe and agreed with him. For someone who liked to come off as tough, he was sure a softy.

I laid down beside him and Claire laid beside me. All four of us stared at the night sky in silence.

After the boys came back from grocery shopping, Claire made us a banging lunch/ dinner, because the boys took forever. After eating Jacob suggested we all go for a run in the forest. I wanted to regret saying I ran in the morning but he said we'd be running in wolf form. It was extremely tempting. I didn't let myself be in wolf form for a while and so did the others. We agreed on a time and that lead us here.

Staring at the stars in peaceful silence.

"I haven't had this much peace in a while." Jacob spoke, breaking the silence.

"Why?"

"When you live in a pack you learn to live on high alert." Logan explained. "We can never let our guard down. We don't get the luxury of being relaxed when there are so many if us to care for." I felt the weight if his words in my heart.

If pack responsibility weighed in then this much I could only imagine what it'd be doing to Kai as Alpha. Could I ever have been able to shoulder the burden he's in?
