"You'll get mad at me..." I pouted.
"Try me, ano ba 'yun?"
"We are officially together..." I said, looking down.
"Oh, bakit biglang nagbago ang mukha mo? Wala naman akong dapat ikagalit 'don." she said before smiling at me.
"Really? You're not mad? I'm not yet eighteen...I'm sorry."
"Few weeks from now, eighteen ka na kaya okay lang 'yun. Saka I appreciate it na sinabi mo sa'kin. Know your limits, okay? You can date, ako pa mismo mag aarrange ng date niyo. But, you have to be mature and dapat hanggang 'don lang sa limit niyo." she adviced.
"Yes, Ma. Thank you for your trust." I hugged her.
"Kumain na tayo at baka mamaya hindi ka na makakain sa kakiligan mo." I nodded and followed her to the kitchen. While we're eating, I noticed that she's not feeling well.
"Ma, are you okay?" I asked before pouring her a glass of water. She nodded before drinking water.
"Are you still taking your medicine? When was the last time you went to your Doctor?" I asked her, worriedly.
"Hindi ko nga matandaan, eh. Nakakalimutan ko kasing pumunta, nak." she said while massaging her forehead,
"I'll come with you tomorrow, you want?"
"Don't you have plans tomorrow? Hindi ba kayo magkikita ni Jay?" tanong niya saakin.
"Uh, may practice siya sa umaga Ma so I think I can accompany you. What's the name of your doctor so I can inform her right away." I asked her while getting my phone.
I looked through her contacts and saw Dra. Ocampo. Maybe this is her doctor. The surname sounds familiar, I think I've heard it somewhere but I'm not sure. We'll see tomorrow.
I received a text from Jay saying that we can't meet tomorrow kase whole day daw practice niya. I got ready for my mom's check-up later. We drove to the hospital and we waited for a few minutes bago kami tawagin sa loob.
"Hi, Mrs. Alvarez, what brings you here today?" Dra. Ocampo said before sitting in her swiveled chair.
"Doc, kasi I've been having a hard time breathing lately...parang-" napatigil si Mommy sa pagsasalita ng may biglang pumasok sa kwarto.
"Mom I-" nagulat siya ng makita ako pero nagpatuloy parin sa pagpasok ng kwarto. She kissed her mom's cheeks and sat down beside her.
"Oh, excuse my daughter. I asked her to get something downstairs. So uh, you were saying?" nagpatuloy ang Mommy niya sa pagsasalita.
"So you're Mom is sick, huh?" she said while sipping to her iced coffee.
"You don't care so shut up ka nalang." I said back.
"Ayusin mo pananalita mo. Baka gusto mong Hindi na gumaling nanay mo." pag babanta niya sa'kin habang nakatitig at nakataas ang isang kilay.
