CHAPTER 30: Live Life to the Fullest

DIANNE's

"IS this finalized already? Wala ka nang gustong idagdag dito?" tanong ni Attorney Silang sa'kin pagkatapos basahin ang marital history na ginawa ko.

"Wala na po."

"I will revise this in a more formal way then ipapabasa ko ulit sa'yo bago ko i-file sa korte."

"Okay po, Attorney."

She leaned over the table. "Are you still seeing your husband?"

"Ang huling pagkikita po namin kahapon, binisita ko po ang mga bata. Sabi po niya, kapag na-file na ang petition, magpapa-schedule na siya ng flight. I told him naman po na may chance na ipatawag siya sa court or kontakin siya ng prosecutor."

"The presence of the non-filing spouse is usually not needed in the court. The annulment process will go on even without your husband."

"I see."

"This a personal advice, not a legal advice. Kung lilipad papuntang New York ang pamilya mo, I suggest you spend the remaining days with your children before I file the petition. This is risky, but just stay formal with your husband para hindi magkaroon ng ebidensya ang prosecutor. As for the legal advice, 'wag mo na silang bisitahin during the deliberation of judge."

"Opo. By that time po, baka nakalipad na rin sila sa New York."

Iyon naman talaga ang plano ko, to spend days with my children. Doon ako tumutuloy kay na Harry para mas makasama ko nang madalas ang mga bata. Harry told me that he will do anything para makuha ko ang custody ng mga bata, pero kailangan pa rin niya silang isama pabalik sa New York dahil iyon ang nilalaman ng marital history. The kids cannot stay with me dahil maghihinala ang prosecutor. Kaya nilulubos ko ang bawat araw na kasama ko sila.

Then when the Attorney told me that the petition is already filed in the court, I asked Harry if I can take the children somewhere, in which he agreed.

Pagdating ko sa kanila ay si Hardy ang nagbukas ng pinto.

"Ang pogi naman ng baby kooo."

"Mommy, hindi na po ako baby."

I smiled at him and messed up with his hair. "You're forever my babyyyy."

"Mommy, ginulo mo naman buhok ko."

I just laughed and pumasok na kami sa loob. Naabutan namin si Harry na nakaupo sa sofa at si Arianne naman ay nasa sahig, tinatalian niya ng buhok si Arianne.

"Arianne, 'wag malikot."

"Waaaaah!" Arianne is crying out loud.

"That's the baby," komento ni Hardy. "Akyat po muna ko. My ears are ringing from her cry."

Natawa na lang ako at umupo sa tapat ni Arianne.

"Sorry," Harry said while holding Arianne's hair. "She's having tantrums again."

"Ako na," sabi ko bago kuhanin ang suklay at pony ni Arianne. Binuhat ko siya at kinandong. Hindi pa rin siya tumitigil kaiiyak.

"Bakit ba umiiyak ang baby ko?"

"Mommy, ayaw sumama sa'tin ni Daddyyyyy." Parang matatanggal na tutuli ko sa lakas ng iyak niya.

"Dianne, sorry. I told her many times already that I can't join you—"
