A candle flickers in the depths of her heart.
It's her love for him refusing to give up.
Her head tells her she deserves so much better, but love doesn't obey the rational mind...for love is the most irrational thing there is.
He hurt her.
She cried for him.
She held in the screams and the pleas that clawed at her throat.
He sits there happy, smiling at her as if nothing ever happened.
He's unphased.
She's broken.
