[9] Who Is She?

Maya

We recived a call, an accident between two cars, a pregnant woman and a boy are involved.

Arrived on the scene we realized how critical the situation was, the woman was in full cardiac arrest.
The guy had a evident compound fracture of the ribs and he couldn't breathe.
I asked for another ambulance on the scene, but nobody answered.

Meanwhile after that Miller e Huges pulled the woman out, Travis and Andy took care of the guy.

Warren e Avery brought the guy to the PRT e the others starts the C.P.R. with the woman.

From my radio still no answer.

M-"I repeat, we need another ambulance!"

"Captain, even if I call 911 with my phone, no answer! There must be a fault in the lines." Said Miller.

M-"Damn, this woman absolutely need to go to hospital!
We'll take her, prepare the truck so you can continue the C.P.R. Now!"

"All right, we got a pulse! Even the baby look alive, but we have to hurry!"

Those were exactly the words I wanted to hear.

In the meantime Warren and Avery had stabilized the guy and they were taking him to the hospital.

On the truck I take my phone and instinctively call Carina.

C-"Hey bellissima, everything is okay?"

M-"Hi Carina, we recived a call, and then the 911 lines stopped working, and we had two patients in critical condition...a pregnant woman and a guy.

Warren is coming there with him, we are coming there with the woman.

C-"We?"

M-"We put her on the truck, if we waited she would be dead.."

C-"Oh merda, (Oh shit) I alert the hospital, we are waiting for you!"

When we arrived, they were there, waiting for us.
She's here too.

We leave the patients to them and for a second we look into each other's eyes.

M-"Keep me updated on their conditions, please."

C-"I will!" She said.

Carina
I hear the sirens and then I see them, I see Maya get of the truck..
Damn I should think about the patient but she's so fucking hot with those suspenders...

She looks at me and for a moment I fell small little.

We're gonna get the patient and bring her in.
I need to check on the baby.

"The baby's in pain It needs to be delivered now!"

Maya

After the shift I decide to go home to take a shower and get ready.
I've recived a message from Carina.

"The three patients will be fine."

This make me happy.

Before I go to pick her up I have to stop to buy somethings that she will need during the day.
When I'm arrived to the hospital she was already there waiting for me.

When I'm about to greet her, I hear someone say her name.

"Hi Carina!"

She's a beautiful blonde woman, and she's smiling to her.

C-"Oh my God, Arizona! Are you back!"

A-"Well..it's a long story..!"

She is embarrassed. What the fuck...

They greet with two kisses on the cheeks and when Carina look at me I approach them saying

"Hi, captain Maya Bishop, station 19"

Maya calm down...

A-"Arizona Robbins, nice to meet you!"

C-"Arizona was my colleague when I'm !arrived here"
Try to explain me.

I make a fake smile

M-"It was a pleasure to meet you Arizona, but unfortunately we are late, we have to go, BABY"
I said looking at her, enphasising on the last word.
A-"Don't worry, see you!"

I take my woman by the hand and get in the car.

I don't know what happened to me before.
Leaving the parking lot, I look at her.

M-"A colleague, right?"

C-"Actually...we dated for a while...but then she left to go back to her ex, for their daughter and haven't been in touch."

I knew it.

C-"Hey my love, you are not jealous, right?"

I start to blush.
When she doesn't hear answers, she turns to look at me better.

C-"Maya..?"

M-"Yes, maybe..."

I answer, looking for a place to stop the car.
When we stop, she get off her car belt and sits on my legs and taking my face between her hands tells me

C-"You don't have to be jealous, bellissima, you're the only thing I want"

M-"...Are you sure?"

C-"Absolutely yes!"

M-"You're mine... just mine!"

C-"Yes, I'm only yours"

M-"Okay, and you trust me?"

C-"Of course, why?"

M-"Wear this"

I tell her, giving her a sleeping mask to cover her eyes.

C-"Really?" She said smiling

M-"Really, I don't want you to see where we're going"

She wears it without other questions.

I really hope she's happy when she sees where I'm taking her.
