Cali, a doctor, established a charity program that heals children with chronic illnesses through music. Her ex, Jay, who's a musician was invited to perform in one of their events.
"Ma alam mo namang mahal kita, 'di ba? Tayong dalawa nalang magkasama simula nung umalis si daddy and I'm sorry if nafefeel mong wala ako palagi sa tabi mo...I-I never thought you felt that way but I promise starting from now on, tayong dalawa na lagi ang magkasama, okay?" I said at hinigit siya para yakapin.
"You should live your life to the fullest, Cali...Andito lang naman ako palagi... I'll stop my relationship with Arthur so you choose your man carefully, okay?" she said while caressing my face.
"Big girl na ang baby ko...lapit ka na mag eighteen nak..." she chuckled while wiping her tears.
"I love you, Ma. I don't say that most of the time but I wanna let you know that I love you...so much." I kissed her forehead.
"Nga pala, who dropped you off a while ago? Your friend?" she asked me while raising both of her brows.
"Uh...a friend, Ma. Close friend. Hehe." I awkwardly smiled.
"Sana all may friend na hinahatid ka kahit madaling araw na, 'no?" she gave me a teasing look. "Invite your friend to dinner tomorrow, I wanna meet your friend."
"Uh...busy kasi siya Mommy so baka hindi siya makapun-"
"Tell your friend to go here tomorrow or I won't let him see you again."
I called Jay immediately and he answered right away.
"Hey...is everything alright? What happened? Hindi pa ako nakakalayo, do you want me to go there?" mukhang nag dadrive pa siya nung tumawag ako.
"Yes everything's alright. Uh..my mom wants to meet you tomorrow night, may gagawin ka ba?"
"We have a practice tomorrow para sa recital namin eh bakit daw ba?"
"Sabi niya 'di mo na raw ako makikita kapag 'di ka niya na meet.." I said.
"Pero pwede naman akong mag practice anytime, 'di ba? See you tomorrow, love."
"Gago anong love pinagsasabi mo wala namang tayo." I said back.
"Pinakilala mo na nga ako sa Mom mo eh. When do you want me to propose ba?" he chuckled.
"Ulol. Pinagsasabi mo."
"Magiging akin ka rin. Just wait." I smiled.
"Oh sige na, mag drive ka na. I'm hanging up. Drive safely, okay? Text me when you're home. Bye." I ended the call and went to the kitchen to tell my Mom he's coming tomorrow.
I went upstairs to take a shower and removed the things in my luggage. While I was doing my skincare, I was pondering about what happened a while ago. Hindi talaga natin masasabi if a person's carrying a big problem unless mag burst out nalang sila bigla.
