Chapter 18

Lucy POV:

"Got it Luce?" I nod and start walking towards Wendy's room. According to Natsu, my 'mission' was to find out where exactly his sister's date would take place and all the timings; I sigh a little, feeling bad for the girl, I mean it's her first date, and her brother will be spying on her.

I guess I gotta make sure we won't be seen. I finally arrive at Wendy's door, knocking and waiting for her to open.

Soon after, I heard a 'come in' and went inside, to find her watching Tv. "Whatcha doing Wen?" I ask, sitting down next to her. "I'm rewatching clueless to calm my nerves down" she says, not taking her eyes off the screen, I giggle slightly before taking some of her popcorn and watching the movie with her.

"So, where's this Romeo taking you today" she kind of choked on her food before being able to speak, it seems as If just the mention of his name gets her flustered.

"Well , we're going to go to the movies first, and then I think we're going to the mall, you know, to eat and look around for a bit." She says whilst playing with the ends of her hair.

Aww, I don't really know him but Wendy seems really happy when she talks about him, and this is a good first date idea!

"That's gonna be fun! So when are you getting ready?" I ask, as it was nearly 12:30. She glances over at the clock before getting up. "I guess I should start getting ready now, since he's coming to pick me up at 1" we started looking through Wendy's closet so she could pick out what she wanted to wear.

She ended up wearing a cute white dress with flats. I sat her down and braided her hair, tying it with some white ribbons, good thing she already showered so I took my time doing her hair.

My final touch was lending her my strawberry flavoured lip gloss and the tiniest amount of mascara. After getting her ready and talking to her for a  bit, i went back to Natsu to let him know the result of my 'mission.'

"so how'd it go? Did you get everything?" he bombarded me with questions as soon as I got into our room, i gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and went to change my clothes.

"you might wanna hurry up, he's coming to pick her up in 10 minutes" As soon as he heard that, he sprinted towards the luggage and got something casual to wear.

We both wore cream and white coloured clothing so that, as Natsu said, we would blend in. I also gave Natsu a cap and sunglasses since even a single glance from Wendy could blow our cover.

I mean, who else has spiky pink-salmon hair. Once we were done, we heard the doorbell ring, implying that Wendy's date had arrived; i left Natsu upstairs and went downstairs to see him.

Romeo looked like a shy boy, similar to Wendy, he had dark hair and brown eyes, Aww the two of them seem super cute i have to say.

"Good afternoon Mr and Mrs Dragneel, I'm here to take Wendy on our date" Poor boy was super nervous, he was kinda shaking but tried to keep his cool.

Igneel smiled and called Wendy down, and when she came, Romeo kept staring at her, blushing slightly. It was literally a scene from a movie, where the boy realises how deeply in love he is with the girl. He snapped out of his gaze when she came and stood next to him.

"Alright you two have fun!" Grandeeney said, whilst taking a quick picture of the two, making Wendy blush in Embarrassment.

"Take care of her, and I want her home at 5, the latest 5:30. Oh and if you have any issue don't hesitate to call me or Natsu." He nods and promises to take care of her, and with that the two of them leave.

As if on cue, Natsu comes downstairs wearing his full disguise, causing the rest of us to laugh. "I have to say, Hats don't suit you dear" his mother said whilst patting his back.

"Whatever, Let's go Luce! before we lose them" He sprints out of the door leaving me behind, i sigh and turn to see his father. "Please make sure he interrupts ONLY when necessary" I smile and slightly jog to catch up with him.

"Alright, first up the movies!" He says as we make our way through the mall to find the two blue-heads. "There they are'' i say in a slight whisper as we spot the couple getting their tickets.

"They're holding hands, i don't like it" i smack his head playfully, for god's sake, it's not as if they're making out. Natsu wanted to go to the movie theatre with them as he thought 'it would be appropriate' but i managed to talk him out of it, i mean c'mon they're watching Toy Story 4. We wandered around for a while to kill time and headed back to our hiding area once the movie was over.

"That movie was great!" I hear Wendy say as she slightly stretches. "I guess, hey let's go eat something! I'm dying here" i see wendy giggle and grab his hand , dragging him to the food court, of course with us following.

We sat a bit away from there, but in an area where we could still see them; they were enjoying each other's company and chatting away whilst eating.

AT one point, Wendy had a bit of Ice cream near her lip, which Romeo then wiped away, causing the girl's face to burn up. And let's just say Natsu didn't take that well for some reason.

"WHy is he touching her face! He can't! They're moving to fast! I'm gonna-" Before he could do something  else, i shoved a few fries in his mouth to shut him up. "Natsu! Calm down, that's not necessary!" He pouted and continued eating.

After they were done at the mall, they went to the park and sat down on the swings talking. It was quite romantic-ish, due to the sun which was starting to set.

"I really enjoyed today!" Wendy said as she was swinging around, Romeo just stared at her smiling, I guess he does quite like her. "You're the reason it was a fun day" he said, causing her to stop swinging and look at him blushing, he then tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, getting closer to her face.

"Oh hell nah-'' I grabbed Natsu's collar and started dragging him away from our spot in the bushes,much to his dismay, I gotta give them some privacy.

Wendy's POV

"And they're gone" I say to Romeo,who sighed in relief. Let's just say, Lucy-san let me know of their plan. As i was thinking to myself i didn't notice Romeo's face getting closer to me. Wait! is he going to kiss me? On the lips? I'm not ready for that!

"Wait! i'm not-'' he then quickly gave me a kiss on my cheek. I placed my hand over the spot his lips just were and just looked at him, smiling and blushing like crazy.

"I really like you Wendy" now he was blushing too, I grabbed his hand and responded . "I like you too!" and with that we spent the rest of our date at the park playing around until it was time to go home.

Best. Day. Ever.
