"We'll be there in 2 hours. Hindi ko pwedeng bilisan ng sobra, baka maaksidente tayo." he said while fixing my seat belt.

"Okay lang. I'm still updating her just in case."

"Thank you ha. I'm sorry I'm really worried something might happen to her." he held my hand while slowly brushing his thumb on it.

"Andito lang ako. 'Wag kang mag alala." He played a song and I got the vibe.

Malapit na kami sa bahay nang may malakas na sigawan kaming naririnig.

"Wag ka ng bumaba. Ako nalang. Thanks for driving me home." I said before removing my seat belt.

"Cali! Please text me if anything goes wrong. Be safe." he said before planting a kiss on my forehead. I nodded and waved at him before entering the gate of our house.

I saw broken plates, scattered clothes and my mom sitting on the floor with a bruise on her face and hands. I saw a man standing beside her full of sweat and he looks furious.

"Ma!" I hurriedly ran to her and gave her a hug. "Who did this to you?" I was tearing up while looking at her. "Who's that guy? Siya ba may gawa sayo nito?" I asked her. Hindi siya tumitingin sakin at halatang pinipigilan ang kanyang iyak.

"Hindi mo pa pala ako pinapakilala sa anak mo." The man said while walking near me.

"Who the fuck are you?!" I was looking at him like I could slap him anytime. I'm trying to control my voice.

"Cali, umalis ka muna please." My mom said pushing me away.

"What?! Sino ba 'yan ha? Why do you have to push me away? This is my house too, are you kidding me Ma?" I am so mad and confused right now.

"Cali, I want you to leave right now. Itetext ko si Gab para sun-" pinutol ko kaagad siya bago pa siya makapagsalita.

"Who is he, Ma?! Bakit ba kailangan kong umalis? I can't leave you to a stranger like hi-"

"He's not a stranger, Cathan! I love him! We need to talk so you have to leave the house now." she's looking at me with so much emotions right now. Hindi ko alam if she's asking for help or she really wants me to leave.

I immediately ran outside and checked my phone. Jay was calling me and he left a message.

"Are you home?"

"Cali, what happened?"

"Is everything alright?"

"Huy wala ka bang load? Papaloadan kita."

I typed and sent him a reply.

"Yea."

He called me right away after seeing my reply.

"Hey, you don't sound good so I think it's best if I call you. What happened? Are you crying?" I was trying to control my tears but it just won't stop.

"Wait for me I'm just starting the car."

"No. I look like a mess. I'll just cry..." I said between the line.

"You need a hug and we can go for a little drive. I don't mind seeing you cry cos I hate it whenever you're crying."

"You don't have to come..." I said while sniffing.

"I want to make you feel better. Wait for me, okay?"

He ended the call and I received a text from him.

"Be there in a few minutes. Let's get your mind off things." I smiled and patiently waited. Ano bang ginawa ko para madeserve 'to.
