Chapter 71

Vannessa pov: I woke up tired as usual. I got into the shower and washed, shaved, and everything else. I got the kids ready. We ate breakfast brushed our teeth and did our hair. Mine was in a messy bun. We got into the car and headed to Grayson and ethans house. It was 3 hours away which I'm ok with. It was 9 when we left. Yeah we got up later than usual but we were all tired. We arrived at his house. He was outside with Ethan doing something. We all got out of the car.
Ethan - hey your Vannessa
V- yes I am and this is Julie paisley Preston and Benny paisley and Preston are twins
Ethan- me and Grayson are twins also so it could be fun hanging out with them
Grayson came over and hugged me. I missed payton a lot but Grayson and I planned on staying friends. He knew the situation. Mainly because he talked to my brothers. We went inside this beautiful house. We sat down on the couch.
Ethan- Grayson told me what happened between you and Payton Want to talk about it
V- sure
The kids were outside playing with a ball.
V- me and Payton got into a couple arguments the day he left and he stayed gone for two days and on the third day he came back with marks on his neck and lipstick all over his face we both said very hurtful things and Well he abused me back in high school he always beat the crap out of me I was put in a hospital because of him but then a couple weeks after that we got together and I obviously had paisley and Preston but he cheated on me then but I forgave him he cheated on me when I was pregnant with Benny and he cheated on me for the third time
Grayson- wow
V- yeah and well we went to court and I have full custody of the kids he was upset about that and ended up punching me in the stomach
I showed them my bruise.
Ethan- holy shit
V- yeah and my best friends josh Cody and Jaden went to his house and they said he was on the floor shaking and crying wanting to see the kids but I don't know if he's going to hurt them like he does me
Ethan- have you tried talking to him
V- I don't have the courage too he's made me feel like a piece of shit for two months and I can't take it
V- it's so stressful taking care of 4 kids on my own it's hard knowing that you weren't good enough
Grayson- your more than enough
V- not for him I'm not
Ethan- yeah well he doesn't see what others see
V- thanks
Grayson- yeah I don't blame you I wouldn't trust him either if he hurt me
V- my friends say I need to talk to him and figure something out but if I can't trust him I don't trust being alone with him how am I supposed to what Over text so he can say more shit to make me want to give up
Ethan- yeah that makes sense honestly
V- we were supposed to be getting married next month that plan is canceled
Grayson- yikes do you think you will ever forgive him
V- if I can trust him again yes but if I can't probably not
Ethan pov: I was texting Grayson while v was talking.
Ethan: we need to help Payton get mentally stable again maybe like therapy for anger or something
Grayson- yeah I know someone who could help we need to talk with him
Ethan- ok
She finished talking and we all agreed.
Ethan- what if we could help him change to where he won't hurt you or anyone and y'all can get married and become happy again
V- if your willing to do that yes sure but if he won't then no I can't stand being hurt but I'm broken without him
Grayson went up and hugged her. We both did.
Grayson- we will try and see what will help him
V- thanks guys
V gathered the kids and left to go get food. I called Payton.
Ethan- we talked to her and we meaning me and Grayson believe that therapy would help you with your anger it would help you find ways to not hurt her
Payton- I'm willing to do whatever I need to in order to get her back
Grayson- go to this place tomorrow at noon you may want to bring clothes you'll be there for a few weeks but it's for the best
Payton- ok thanks guys
Both- anytime
I hung up.
Grayson- we might have saved their relationship
Ethan- hopefully she's broken
Grayson- I noticed
We all went to get food.
V pov: I was thinking about what they said. If they could help Payton I would gladly be with him again. I miss him a whole bunch but I also feel regret. What if he changes for 3 weeks and goes back to normal. No Vannessa you can't think that way. He might actually change. Grayson texted saying he's going to therapy for 4 weeks so practically a month. It's for the better. I really really hope it works. I want my baby back. We got home and ate lunch. The kids played outside. Payton called.
Payton- v please don't hang up but I'm going to therapy to help with my anger I want my family and my soon to be wife back when I'm out I promise to never hurt you again and this is a promise I won't break
V- good luck Payton and I hope this does work i miss having someone to help me with kids
I broke down while on the phone but i acted as if nothing happened.
Payton- I'm sorry I really am everything that happened was a dare I'm sorry about our argument and me cheating and hurting you believe me it broke me to where I wanted to die
V- and I caused that
Payton- no I did I'm here at therapy I'll talk to you when I'm out
V- ok
Payton- i love you your the one for me
V- I love you
I hung up. I continued crying. Eventually we all grew tired and laid down to get sleep. But I couldn't sleep. I was too worried about everything that had happened.
