"Great! Donovan, you're coming with me. You too, Salvatore! Not you, Lia." Maddie nodded to the three only for Matt to cross his arms in defiance. "Why should I?" The human huffed and Maddie scoffed, but Damon seemed to catch on to her plan.

"Because Elena's hungry and missing. For once, your life might actually have a purpose." Damon stated and Maddie smirked as she pointed to Damon. "He gets it." Maddie confirmed and Malia sighed as she stretched her arms.

"I don't need to understand, I just need to know who I'm fighting." Malia stated and Maddie laughed. "You won't be fighting anyone. Get some rest, we'll be going to New Orleans once this is resolved."

"Oh, come on. I barely drained an artery." Maddie heard Elena deadpan as Matt lied on the floor, his neck bleeding. Elena then nudged the boy with her foot as she pouted childishly. "Come on. Get up. I'm hungry. And my head's fuzzy. I can't think straight. I need more." Elena stated and Maddie rolled her eyes. If she thought normal Elena was bad, emotionless Elena was fucking annoying as hell.

"Elena, stop." Matt breathed out tiredly as Elena bent down before smiling fake empatheticly. "But you're so good." Elena stated before grabbing Matt by his collar and going in for the kill. Maddie then quickly nodded to the two Salvatore's, and then walked out herself, knocking Elena back with a simply hand gesture as Stefan then grabbed the older twin and firmly pinned her to a tree.

"Hey, hey. You're cut off." Stefan said to Elena as she struggled in his grip. "Let go of me." Elena demanded, but it did her no good. "Stop it." Stefan growled as she wriggled around before a voice cut him off.

"Enough." Damon demanded as she grabbed Matt and Maddie stood next to him. "You are acting like a little spoiled brat. You know that?" Maddie snapped and Elena rolled her eyes, going to say something but Damon cut her off. "You think that we can't punish you. Maybe not. But I can sure punish him." Damon stated, gesturing to the human he was holding up.

"Elena..." Matt breathed and the emotionless vampire huffed, as if bored. "Seriously? You think this is..." Elena started only to be cut off. "Shut up. I'm done playing nice. Turn your emotions back on right now, Elena, or so help me, God, I will give you something to be sad about. I will kill him right here in front of you." Damon snapped and Maddie stood there with crossed arms.

"Damon." Stefan said in a warning tone before looking to Maddie who shook her head. "Don't "Damon" me. If she doesn't love anyone, fine. Prove it. And if I'm wrong, what difference does it make? One less bus boy." Damon pointed out and Maddie bit her lip. "Elena...." Matt pleases barley, but it wasn't working and Maddie knew it.

"You're bluffing. And Maddie, you're too soft to let Matt die." Elena snapped and Maddie let a sickening grin spread across her face. "You seem so sure. You don't know me anymore, Elena. I will make hard decisions if I need and to add to the fire, Matt got on my nerves quite a lot today." Maddie states before snapping her fingers, causing the blonde boy's neck to snap, his body falling on the forest floor. Dead.

Maddie watched as Elena lunged forward with a gasp, tears in her eyes as she stared between the body of her friend and her unflinching twin who had just killed an innocent. "You feel anything now? You angry Maddie just turned your buddy into road kill? Or are you sad that the guy that everybody loves is just a bag of bones?" Damon taunted Elena who placed a hand over her mouth, tears pooling down her face before Maddie walked over to the body.

"Remember when he was a little kid, Elena? Warm heart, big, goofy smile, his whole life ahead of him. I come back and he's failing his classes, but he still had a chance at a scholarship. I guess it was a good idea that he was wearing this." Maddie stated as she held up Matt's hand to show the Gilbert ring.
