The room was silent before the door burst open and Maddie stood there, her arms crossed. There was a blonde girl standing behind her, a strong glare sent in the direction of Damon. "You wanted my help? Where is she?" Maddie asked and Stefan sighed. "She's in the cellar." He informed the girl who nodded before grinning.

"Great, now I need Katherine." Maddie ordered and Caroline grinned, running over and embracing the brunette girl. "How are you? How's my godchild? Are you eating healthy?" Caroline bombarded the Petrova Hybrid with questions only for the two Salvatore brothers to turn to her in shock. "Godchild?" Stefan questioned, a small smile growing across his lips and Maddie smiled as she placed a hand over her stomach.

"It's a long story that involves a guy who helped me through a lot of shit and a Darach. Either way, I'm only a month along." Maddie stated and Damon felt some of his guilt slip away. "You're pregnant?" Damon questioned and Maddie looked at him but nodded. "I am." The Petrova Hybrid clarified and Damon looked down. "Who's this?" Caroline questioned as she smiled at the werecoyote who looked wary of the people around her and Maddie.

"This is Malia. She's the werecoyote that we saved...it's another long story." Maddie cleared up and the group nodded before Stefan cleared his throat. "So Katherine? Why do we need her?" Stefan questioned and Maddie crosses her arms across her chest.

"When I turned off my humanity, and yes, I turned off my humanity, Elena called me and riled me up. She brought up a few bad memories and got me so angry that I turned it back on. We're going to recreate that, but with Katherine because if I'm antagonised, I might kill the bitch." Maddie explained with a sarcastic smile and Stefan nodded before he walked over to Caroline.

"Okay, but how are we going to get her here. We're not exactly in her emergency contacts." Caroline stated and Maddie shook her head. "We don't need to be. Look, Katherine killed Jeremy, if anyone's going to get a rise out of Elena, it's her." Maddie stated but the werecoyote chipped in. "That still doesn't tell us how we're going to get this Katherine girl here." Malia stated bluntly and Maddie sighed.

"Katherine has lost everything, her bargaining-ship with Klaus is gone, Elijah is gone, Stefan's off the table and it's all because of Elena. She's not going to want to pass this one up, trust me. Just don't mention I'm here and you've got her." Maddie explained simply.

"How about Caroline and I go get Katherine?" Stefan said and Maddie nodded looking at Malia. "Go with them, I'll be fine here." The Petrova Hybrid smiled but the werecoyote raised an eyebrow. "You sure?" Malia questioned and Maddie smiled but nodded. "I have to talk to Damon anyway." Maddie stated and Malia looked over her friend's shoulder at the raven haired vampire before looking back to the Petrova Hybrid.

"Fine." The werecoyote huffed and Maddie smiled as she watched the girl jog after Caroline and Stefan. Maddie then turned to Damon with pursed lips as she exhaled deeply. "Okay, Salvatore. Let's talk. I know you have something to say and I have some questions." Maddie stated as she walked over to the sofa and plopped herself down comfortably.

Damon cleared his throat and placed a fake smirk on his face, going to make a snarky comment when Maddie shook her head, cutting him off. "I'm not here for the sarcasm, I'm here to talk." The Petrova Hybrid huffed as she have the raven haired vampires knowing look, causing him to sigh as he sat down next to her.

"I love Elena and I've been in love with her for a while." He said and Maddie smiled painfully as she looked down, remembering the heartache he had put her through. "I know. I always knew that you didn't love me the way I wanted you too. I just didn't want to believe it." Maddie sighed out a sad laugh and Damon looked down.

"I did love you. I fell in love with you and you're sarcasm and how loving you were. You cared about me above all else and I cared about you, but then I fell in love with Elena." Damon explained and Maddie nodded before feeling tears well up in her eyes as she thought of the question she had so desperately wanted to ask.
