"Didn't you?" She questioned once more, this time hoping for a "yes" in response. But still, she was replied to with silence. "Jesus motherfucking Christ, Rebekah. You fucking lost him?!" Maddie shrieked and the blonde sighed.

"Yes. And Nik isn't answering the phone, so now that we've established that I'm a failure of a sister, aunt, protector and friend, could you please call him and tell him to pick up the bloody phone." Rebekah questioned and Maddie sighed.

"I'm on it, but you owe me." The Petrova Hybrid sighed. "Love you." She heard Rebekah say in response and Maddie smiled. "Love you too, dumbass. I'll call again later." Maddie stated before hanging up. Stiles was still walking and still trying to get a hold of Scott, Lydia was still hiking next to her.

Maddie sighed before calling Klaus. It rung a few times but when he answered Maddie sighed in relief. "Okay, listen. Sophie and Hayley, against all better judgement, decided to go on a werewolf family/dead witch hunting field trip in the Bayou and Rebekah went with them to protect them or whatever." Maddie explained only to be cut off.

"Look, luv, if you could hurry this up, that would be great." Klaus stated and Maddie sighed. "Long story short, Rebekah failed, they all got caught by Marcel's informant and Rebekah lost him. So you should probably pick up the phone when Rebekah calls." Maddie stated, but before Klaus has a chance to reply, Lydia interrupted.

"Stiles? Maddie?" She called, fear clearly evident in her shaky voice. "Yeah." Stiles questioned as they both turned around. "Holy shit, Lydia! Nik, call Rebekah, now." Maddie finished her phone call before hanging up.

"Oh my god! Lydia, don't move." Stiles stated but the strawberry blonde felt everything spin before blacking out. Maddie, seeing the strawberry blonde's disorientated face, speed over, stomping down on the lever as she caught Lydia's body, lifting it into a bridal position.

Stiles rushed over and lifted the strawberry blonde, lying her on the ground before looking to Maddie who was as still as possible. "Okay, Del, what do I do?" Stiles questioned and Maddie breathed in calmly.

"Look for a warning label." Maddie instructed. "A warning label?" Stiles questioned and the Petrova Hybrid nodded. "Instructions on how to disarm it." She stated causing the teenage boy to give her a look. "Del, why the hell would they put instructions on the bottom of a trap?" Stiles breathed out as if it was dumb.

"Because animals can't read, dumbass." Maddie snapped and Stiles scoffed but got down anyway to look at the trap. "Del, we got a problem." He then breathed and Maddie felt her blood run cold. "What the fuck do you mean we have a problem? Did Tate take off the warning labels?" Maddie questioned and Stiles shook his head.

"No, the label is here. But you know what you said earlier about animals not being able to read. I can't read either." Stiles stated and Maddie felt her chest tighten as panic flooded over her. But still, she breathed calmly and looked down.

"Okay...its okay, we can figure this out." Maddie reassured him as she bit her lip. "Maddie, all I see is letters arranged in an impossible order." Stiles told her and the girl shook her head. "It doesn't matter! You don't need the instructions, you're too smart for them anyway. You're one of the smartest people I know and I believe you can figure this out." Maddie reassured the boy, who shook his head.

"You could get hurt." Stiles's words echoed in her head and suddenly, Maddie grew even more aware of the child she was carrying inside of her. She didn't know if this child would survive if she died, even if she was immortal, she didn't know for sure if her child was. So she did the same thing any other sane pregnant woman would do. She lied.

"I'll heal. Not that I'll need to because you're going to figure this out." Maddie covered and Stiles shook his head as his hands started to tremble. "I can't, Maddie, I can't-" Stiles breathed heavily, sweat dripping from his face as his backed away, but Maddie knew he could. "Yes, you can. I trust you to make the right decision because I love you and I know you'll find the answer so think. You can figure this out." Maddie blurted out before biting her tongue. Dumbass. You're a dumbass. You literally just told this guy you loved him and you're not even dating. Big smarts. Proud of you. Maddie snapped at herself.
