*August in MM*

It was Saturday and Payton was home alone. Marco was upstairs all day, he missed August. He hadn't ate or drunk any water. He didn't even go out for the bathroom.

Payton was in the living room sitting down on the carpet. She was reading a book, Grenades as Lullabies by Manja Lazarevic Rodriquez. She had been home for the last pass four days due to it was raining and nobody called her to do anything.

Out of nowhere Marco came running down the stairs barking. She looked over at him as he sat by the door barking. The door knob turned and she knew it was August. It was about 9 at night and it was still raining.

"Marco, wassup boy" August greeted Marco as he jumped around on him.

Payton went back to reading as August closed the door. She didn't have any hate towards August, she just felt bad for him. She was hurting herself but she was still hanging in there.

"Evening Payton" August said as he walked around the couch and sat down.

"Evening" she said flipping the page pushing her glasses up.

"How you been" he asked and she looked over at him.

"I'm hanging in there, what about you" she said going back to reading her book.

"I'm good, what you been up to lately" he asked her as he admired how beautiful she was.

"I have to go back to Harlem to check on my shop and deliver some orders " she told him and he pulled out his phone.

"Alright... you need anything" he asked as he typed on his phone.

"No, I'm fine." she told him and he nodded looking around.

"Payton I'm sorry for what I said" he apologized to her and she looked at him.

"It's fine" she told him as she closed her book, he felt so bad.

"Don't say that because it's not, I was wrong and you deserve better than that" He told her and she sigh looking at the carpet.

"I was wrong to August, I'm the reason we going through this. I'm glad you're being a man and apologizing though" she told him sadly as she held her emotions.

"Do you want me to stay with you tonight" he asked her and she shook her head no.

"No, I'm fine and you need your space so no" she told him as she looked back over to him.

"Alright well imma head out" he said standing up and she nodded as she continued reading her book.

"Alright be safe" she told him and he smiled a bit before walking towards the door.

"I will" he told her, he wanted to tell her he loved her so bad but didn't know if she would respond.

"Alright Marco" he played with Marco before leaving.

She sigh as she closed her book. She wanted to tell him she loved him so bad. She felt alone and heartbroken, she hated the feeling but she had to deal with it. Tears fell down her face as she looked out the window to see it was raining hard.

She wiped her tears before standing up. She put her book on the shelf and grabbed her phone turning the lamp off. Marco walked over to her as she laid on the couch. He hopped up on the couch and laid infront of her as she covered them up.

"Night Marco" she said and he licked her face before resting his head on her arm.

Payton heard loud banging on her door and opened her eyes. She looked around as they banged again. Marco was asleep on top of her back with his face on top of her face.
