My Double Life

Chapter 9

Oh shit, the guys are here and they might recognise that move. I quickly let go and I allow her to get up, I'm known for playing around with my prey first before I bring on the real fight. It's just something I do

"Come on, you didn't come all the way from Canada to lose now did you?" I ask and she quickly gets up, kicking me off my feet

That was clumsy of me to let her do. She kicks me in the ribs while I'm down, she tries to get on top of my but I give her a stomach kick and I take the position on top of her pining her arms under my knees to hold her there and punching her. She managed to get out of my hold pushing me off her. We both get into a standing position, she launches for me but I block her punch and deliver my own on her side. I deliver the final blow by kicking her on the side of her face, knocking her out.

'Oohs' and 'ouch' could be heard from the crowd. I back up and someone goes to check on her.

Damn did she put up a good fight, not as good as Kendrick but it was good nonetheless

I'm announced winner and go back to my changing room getting changed into my signature hoodie and leggings before I make it to Randy's office

"You were very sloppy out there, you are lucky her skills aren't up to the level of yours." Randy scolds as I take a seat opposite him

He's right, I have been slacking on my training a lot lately. I need to get back on track

"I know and I'll get back on my feet I promise. I've just been busy with a lot lately and my training schedule has been messed with." I explain

He looks at me and sighs, "here's your pay for the night." He hands me an envelop

I take it and put it in my bag without opening it like I always do.

"Thanks." I stand up "Oh and I almost forgot, I need a favour." I tell him

He raises his eyebrows, "And what may that be?" He asks

"The other night when I was fighting The Electric G, there were a couple of guys who were eyeing me suspiciously before I left and while I was fighting, I saw the same guys again and I don't want to be followed so I need your help getting out of here safely and undetected." I lie but you know not all of it is a lie

He sits there deep in thought before I snap my fingers to get him back to reality

"Very well, we can't risk your identity being known. I will escort you out myself just wait here." He says getting up and leaving the room

He comes back moments later with Jones and Vince by his side, two of his most trusted bodyguards

"Let's go." He says and I walk towards the door when they walk past me

"Not that way sweetheart." Randy informs me

I look confused but it soon becomes clear when a passage way is opened behind Randy's bookshelves

We walk through the passage, lights illuminating through it with every step we take. We make it out to the back parking and get into the black SUV driving off almost immediately

"Do you know who these guys are?" Randy questions but he doesn't look at me

"Yeah that's Vince and that's Jones." I say pointing between the driver and Vince on the passenger seat

The look Randy gives me makes me want to just burst out laughing but I refrain from it because Randy is capable of making me walk the rest of the way home

"Do you want to walk?" He seriously asks. See?

"No sir." I answer a little too amused causing Randy to roll his eyes before mumbling some profanities under his breath
