Welcome, everyone. Today we have the lovely celestialsea

A big thank you to her for taking the time to answer these questions.

If you haven't read her books then please do. They're amazing...

Without further ado...

1. What inspired you to start writing?

I think a lot of things inspired me, specifically with fan fictions the idea that I could ingrain something that I loved into those things like harry potter always piqued my interest. In general, I love being able to let my imagination run wild with things I love and enjoy

2. Did you have any writers' block along the way? how did you get past them?

yes yes yes writer's block was a very normal thing for me and usually to get past it I would think of something in the plot that would take a while to get to - I would be so excited to write this thing I knew I'd have to start writing the chapters before that in order to be able to write that and it would help a lot

3. Do you see yourself in any characters and why?

yes 100% i think in all of my characters there's a little bit of me there maybe their humour or personality or their interests etc i think i see myself in Bea mostly which is the main character of one of my books. I wrote her a few years ago and i still see myself in her and I love that people love her it feels like a compliment towards myself hahahaha

4. How old are you?

I just recently turned 20 in February

5. How old were you when you started writing?

I've been writing silly stories since i was about four i've loved writing all my life. I started writing on wattpad 8 years ago and i started writing harry potter fan fics when i was 16 which is when my writing started to get a lot more of a passion

6. Can you remember what you felt when you first started writing? what did you feel?

it was wonderful, i'm basing this off my harry potter fics right now because that was the best for me - it all just came together and was so lovely and exciting and even just creating the book cover made me feel genuine happiness

7. What's your outside life like?

it's hectic honestly. I graduated from university last year with a bachelors degree and have been working as a computing engineer with crazy shifts so the time to write is very limited but i can feel the motivation to write slowly coming back to me and i cannot wait to publish what i've been currently working on!!

8. Where do you get your ideas from?

everything. Myself, people around me and strangers. Sometimes colours and songs will give me a lot of ideas too. I like to try and think outside the box when it comes to story lines because with my harry potter fics a lot of the story lines have been done x100 so i wanted mine to be memorable and fun

9. What do you like to do when you're not writing?

i like to sing and bake and read. I am a computing network engineer so I love all things computing and recently built my own PC. I love video games and due to quarantine me and my boyfriend have been playing video games to find new ways to actually be in each other's company whilst not being near each other lol

10. What does your family think about your writing?

they actually don't know!! only a few people in my life know about it like my boyfriend and some online friends

11. What do you think makes a good story?

i think something that you genuinely love and are dedicated to will always be good. There's no need to copy other people's ideas when you genuinely love and think about what you want to write about

12. What's your favourite genre?

fantasy definitely

13. Do you write on wattpad or do you use software (like Microsoft word)?

Yeah i use microsoft word and then transfer it to wattpad and use grammarly to fix any mistakes

14. What's the hardest part for you to write, and why?

i think the hardest thing to write is death or something kind of not very well known especially in fics especially emotionally it's hard to write death for characters you've written for a long time

15. Do you work on an outline or just go with the flow?

i think both? i have the overall plot and what i want to get to but sometimes there are specific chapters i just type and see where it takes me and usually the outcome is what i wanted. Sometimes if i hate it i'll delete the entire chapter and start again

16. Do you have anything specific you want to say to readers?

I love my books more than anything, i love that readers genuinely enjoy my books it makes me so happy. Comments make me happier than anything because to see people interface with me and specific chapters make me genuinely so happy and i love just scrolling through readers chapters

17. And lastly, Do you have any advice for new writers.

I think just write and see where it takes you. I love writing and as i wrote more i could see myself getting better and better so do not be discouraged if you don't think you're as good as your favourite author because it takes time and i'm still definitely not as good as my favourite author
