This run was perfect. We found the perfect place where we found so much formula, Glenn and I walked out of there smiling from ear to ear. He then patted my back before putting the baskets of food into the car we drove.

"We hit the powdered formula jackpot." He said and I nodded in agreement, "thank god." I whispered and then moved closer to the truck to help him put some food in, "we got so much good stuff. Mini wiener dogs, mustards, batteries, and it's just a straight shot back to the prison, could make it home for dinner." He said and I gave him a smile feeling my nerves pack onto me. I knew what I was going to say to Daryl would either end our friendship or start something more but I was scared.

"Hey, you good?" Glenn asked and I looked up and him and then put on a fake smile, "as good as I can, still thinking of-" I started but then I realized something, this is Maggie's boyfriend, and whatever I say to Maggie probably gets reported back to Glenn, "you know everything that happened between D and I, right?" I asked and Glenn stiffened his posture and then sighed, "yes but I'm not supposed to tell you who I got said information from." He joked and I chuckled and nudged him. That's when we heard a gun cocked and then a voice say,

"So where do y'all call home?"

I lifted my gun in the air, Glenn doing the same but when I noticed who it was, my heart fell. Glenn seemed to have the same reaction, "Merle?" He asked as I looked over at Glenn and then Merle who was staring at both of us, his hands moved to the side holding them up in a surrender sort of motion.

"Woah, woah, hey, it's the girl with the dead sister. Sorry for stealing, but you get it right?" He asked towards me but I just tightened the grip on my gun as I felt Glenn's eyes dig into the side of my face, "Glenn, my brother. Is he alive?" He asked as he looked between us and I then realized that with Merle being here, it could set off something with Daryl. I haven't even mentioned that I knew he was alive.

"Yeah." Glenn huffed out but I kept my eyes peeled on the red neck brother. He gave me a certain look and then stepped closer, "let's say you bring him to me and we can call this even, huh?" He then looked directly at Glenn and said, "with everything that happened in Atlanta. No hard feelings." He then looked over at me and noticed that I was staring at his hand that used to be just a stump. Now it was a blade at the end of it. it actually was a good weapon for only having one hand.

"Oh, you like that? I fixed it myself. Found myself a old medical supply warehouse." He said buy Glenn wasn't too impressed, "we'll tell him you're out here and he'll come meet you." But Merle didn't like that response. He started to come over to us but I tightened my grip on the gun and pointed it at him, he looked at me and then said, "the point that we found each other is a miracle. The fact that I met you separately than them and then you guys found each other. That's crazy. You can trust me." He remarked trying to get us to take him to our prison but we both knew better. Merle has been the most untrustworthy man on this earth.

"You trust us. You stay here." Glenn sharpened his tone which caused Merle to just huff and gave us both a small smile before he took his gun out and shot the back window of our car. I ran over towards the back but felt the metal of Merle's new blade hand and then felt him drop me to the floor. He then held his gun up to my head and whispered, "funny how you haven't mentioned to this group you knew me, even though you met my brother." I groaned and felt him press the gun deeper into my temple as Glenn turned the corner.

"Hey, buddy. Hold up!" He yelled at Glenn and Glenn held his gun up to Merle and yelled, "Daryl won't forgive you if you shoot her!" Merle chuckled and said, "oh does Daryl have a thing for our damsel in distress?" He remarked and let out a cold laugh, "well if you want her and my brother together forever, put the gun in the car." I gave Glenn a look, he then closed his eyes and placed the gun in the car and then Merle nodded from behind me and said, "good. Now we're going to go for a little drive." He hissed and then forced me up to my feet and held the gun in my back.
