She is smart, and knows how to hunt and take care of herself, which gets her points with the rednecked brothers she has been convincing herself she doesn't need. When Charlie was 6, she was adopted out after her fathers death. She left her two brothers to move in with a family. . 5 years later, the apocalypse started. She had a camp. A family. She and her friend Sam are sent out on a mission, which takes them from Virginia all the way to Georgia. Something goes wrong, and she's stuck, all alone, injured and afraid. Then, a group finds her, and changes her life.

She spent the first 20 days with her sister. Then, she spent 30 days alone. She stumbled across a certain redneck whilst he was out hunting for the group he stayed with in Atlanta, and she saved him from a walker. Since then, she spent around two weeks with her new group before a Sheriff was brought to them....and then all Hell broke loose. Their safe haven? No longer safe, and fatalities were the consequence. They all thought the CDC would be a good choice....it wasn't. Danika almost didn't make it...she almost didn't want to. But that stupid redneck pulled her from her own stupid decision and she lived on...she had to begrudgingly thank him eventually. But now where do they go? "Don't leave!" The fading redhead took a step forward to the man. "What the hell do ya want me to do here?! Hmm?! Never giving that Walsh girl another look. Mia stood there as the tears began to fall down her cheeks, her shoulders dropping. Rick sadly looked at the girl, recognizing the look on the girls face.
