Chapter 45: Fotam Kom Pike

"This way" Sawyer instructed as she led the kids down the halls discreetly. She turned to make sure they were keeping up. Atlas ran holding Peta's hand and Cole was directly behind Sawyer

Sawyer pushed past the red tarp and held it making sure the 3 ran in. She let the tarp go to close behind her

"You weren't followed right?" Harper asked cautiously. Sawyer shook her head no. "Alright, get in" Harper said as she stepped away from the opened panel. The kids rushed in and Sawyer looked to see a ton of packs there prepared for their escape

"I went dark, did Octavia get them?" Sawyer asked. Harper nodded and Sawyer sighed in relief as their plan was running smoothly

"Alright get in, i'll stand watch" Sawyer said. Sawyer peered into the tunnel to check on Peta and Cole. Atlas stepped into the tunnel and Harper passed Sawyer the radio

Sawyer's heart was racing she walked up to the red tarp and peered through patiently. A ton of guards filled the halls making Sawyer click on the radio. "Ok, S come in" Sawyer said quietly using Octavia's code name on the private frequency

"Go ahead!" Octavia responded

"Stay where you are" Sawyer said she gently put the tarp back before turning to rush to the tunnel to hide "Repeat, stay where you are. The exit is not clear" Sawyer whispered

She stopped in front of the tunnel opening and listened as Octavia asked "How many guards?"

"Too many. I said stay put" Sawyer demanded. She hear the guards talking outside making her rush to step into the tunnel. She grunted as she pulled the panel back into place

She turned and put her finger over her lips indicating for everyone to stay quiet. Sawyer's heart raced as she heard guards standing right outside the panel. She could see everyone's hearts beating, Atlas held Peta and Cole close calming their anxiety while Harper bit her lip

"Calling all guards. The prisoners are headed for the main gate. The prisoners are headed for the main gate! Over!"

Sawyer stared at in confusion at the sound of Monty's voice over the PA "That was Monty" Harper says in shock

Sawyer slightly opened the panel and peered to see no guards. She pushed it up and watched as everyone came running in. Sawyer jumped out and threw her arms around her Father

"I was so worried" Sawyer whispered as her Father held her tight. "I'm ok" Chris comforted. "Cole and Peta are in there" Sawyer said letting him go. Harper was shoving everyone inside and distributing their packs

Chris ran in and hugged the 2 worried kids

Hannah came over the PA saying "Attention all citizens. Emergency lock down is in effect, return to your quarters immediately"

Sawyer hugged Lincoln as she saw him rush in "You're ok!" Sawyer said happily as the grounder hugged her. Octavia came in last and Sawyer released a breath as she hugged the girl
