Chapter 16: Destroyer of Bridges

"Sawyer shouldn't be out here" Finn says shaking his head as he watches the helpless girl look around in the crash site filled with bones and ashes

Bellamy watches her from a distance like she's a ticking bomb 

"Her brother was on the ship and maybe even her dad but she doesn't know that. She's looking for answers. You want to help her, find me the black box, hard drives, anything that will explain why this ship crashed, if I know Chris Jameson I know this shouldn't have failed" Raven says 

Finn freezes as he watched Sawyer gulp looking down at an entire skeleton on the ground. He watches her close her eyes and take 2 steps forward, eyes still closed 

"Clarke's Mom was on the ship so shes wreck" Finn says looking at Raven 

"Stay sharp! Grounder retaliation for what happened on the bridge is coming, just a matter of when" Bellamy calls out "Can you blame them?" Finn says glaring at Bellamy 

"No, I blame you" Bellamy responds turning to Finn "Maybe if you didn't bring guns-" Finn starts "If we didn't bring guns we all would have been killed" Raven argues stopping Finn 

"Why they're coming doesn't matter anymore. It's our job to be ready when they do. We're on our own now" Bellamy says annoyed 

Sawyer ignoring the arguing group leans closer to a lump of the ship that had liquid oozing out. She leans forward in attempt to distinguish the liquid only for Raven to start yelling 

"Sawyer! Stop!" Raven screams as her and Finn ran towards Sawyer 

"Its rocket fuel" Sawyer says clearly out of it "Sawyer! It's Hydrazine... Highly unstable in its non solid form. If this stuff meets fire, we're all pink mist. You know this" Raven stares at the girl confused as to how she didn't identify the dangerous liquid

Bellamy comes climbing up wanting to see what was going on. Raven dipped a rock in the pink liquid yelling "Fire in the hole!" as she threw the rock to light flames that were coming from a piece of the ship 

Everyone looked around in fear of the loud noise that clearly made their presence known

"We need to clear the area!" Raven yells 

"Ok then. We move in formation, no straggling, weapons hot! We got to get back before dark" Bellamy instructs 

The large group all came together and headed back to camp

To say Sawyer wasn't even in the right mindset was an understatement, the hardest part was she just had to keep going. She had people to take care of. So when they got back from the crash site and Murphy had taken refuge in the drop ship needless to say Sawyer was agitated to the max 

"Where is he?" Bellamy questions rushing into the drop ship Sawyer right behind followed by Clark. Inside were all the guys guys ready and aimed at Murphy 

Bellamy and Sawyer moved through the crowd coming into contact with a bloody, broken Murphy. The sight almost made Sawyer gag 

"Everyone but Connor and Derek out.. Now!" Bellamy instructs 

Sawyer didn't move knowing damn well he wasn't including her in the group that needed to depart 

Boys scurry out the drop ship at the sound of Bellamy's raised voice

"He claims he was with the grounders" Derek says 

"We caught him trying to sneak back into camp" Connor explains 

"I wasn't sneaking, I was running from the grounders" Murphy mumbles "Anyone see grounders?" Bellamy asks clearly not believing the story 

Both boys shake their heads no. "Well in that case-" Bellamy says lifting his gun to shoot Murphy. Sawyers eyes widen and Finn jumps forward pushing the gun down
