Chapter 12: His Sister's Keeper

Sawyer covered Peta with the blanket for the 3rd time that night. She couldn't sleep, she had too many thoughts in her head. So instead she watched Peta sleep

After putting her to bed she had taken off the blanket 3 times and then started shivering resulting in Sawyer covering her again

Her thoughts were interrupted when the flap to her tent had been ripped open to show a frantic Bellamy with a lit torch in his hand. "Your up?" Bellamy asked confused

Sawyer sighed and stood up exiting the tent so she didn't wake the sleeping girl

"Yea knowing 300 might be dying on the ark doesn't really allow you to have peaceful dreams, especially because one of them is my brother" she responded crossing her arms over her chest

"Listen your flairs will work" he comforted "Yea, but Raven's radio would have worked better" she responded

Bellamy gulped before asking "Have you seen Octavia?" 

Sawyer looked at him confused as she realized she hadn't seen the girl since early this morning. "No, but I mean it's Octavia shes probably chasing after some butterfly-" Bellamy interrupted her

"Sawyer I've checked the camp, she's not here" 

Sawyer realized he was being serious and the worried look he had in his eyes made her vulnerable

"Ok, i'll help you find her you go to the drop ship and i'll check recheck the tents" she instructed as the 2 started walking

"Thank you" 

"Don't thank me i'm not doing this for you, i'm doing this for Octavia and I know what it's like to worry about a sibling when you're separated from them" 

Sawyer wasn't going to let it go

She was going to continue to bring up her brother until Bellamy understood what he did. He had Octavia on the ground so at the end of the day it didn't matter who was up on the ark to him

After checking the tents she found nothing. The 2 met back up in the middle of the camp before Sawyer decided to send out a search party for the lost Blake

"Hey everybody gather around and grab a weapon! My sister's been alone out there for over 12 hours, arm up because we're not coming back without her" Bellamy instructed

Sawyer nodded to Bellamy before reaching down to grab a weapon. But before she could lift it up a hand stopped her "oh no, your staying here" Sawyer looked up to see Bellamy shaking his head at her. "No Bellamy, i'm doing this"

"Who's gonna watch over the camp?" he argued 

"Clarke will, im not getting out of this one, i'm coming with you. Octavia was my first friend on the ground i'm not betraying her" before Bellamy could reply the 2 heard Clarke and Jasper arguing

"Clarke, I need to do this" Jasper fought "We need all the people we can get at this point" Bellamy said shrugging. Jasper nodded and walk past the 3. "We need a tracker" Sawyer said looking around for Finn

"Finn! Get out here" Bellamy called out

Bellamy and Sawyer got everyone in the group to stand by the gate prepared to walk out

"Did you see that"

"Look up there"

Sawyer looked up confused at what teens were yelling at. In the sky were sparks falling down from space like rain

"They didn't work" Raven explains coming into Sawyer's view between Clarke and Finn. Sawyer looked at her confused "They didn't see the flares" she says sighing
