The next morning in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Hope Lupin-Black and Ron Weasley kept discussing the upcoming Quidditch match that Snape was refereeing. He kept trying to convince the Lupin-Black girl that it wasn't a good idea to play.
"I'm going to play, you know," Hope told Ron after he ranted on. "If I don't, all of the Slytherins will think I'm too scared of Snape to play. Even though I already destroyed their prince, I'll have to wipe those stupid smirks off their faces once more."
"Have you seen the way he looks at you in class? He's going to push you off your broom—"
"Enough, Ron," Hermione Granger spoke up. "Hope, as long as we're not wiping you off the field, you're fine."
Hope rolled her eyes playfully. "Real helpful, 'Mione."
"We just don't want you getting hurt," added Harry. "We both know how Snape is."
"Yeah, and Quidditch is all about the risks," she explained, getting up from her desk. "Which I am always willing to take."

As the match got closer, Hope Lupin-Black got even more nervous. She wanted to win so badly, so they could overtake Slytherin in the house championship. But, she knew with Snape being the referee it was a slim chance.
