Maddie turned and nudged Davina for her attention as the group on stage finished and Tim walked on, fiddle in hand. "Come on, let's move up." Maddie stated and Davina nodded before the two walked further up, leaving Marcel to converse with Cami a few feet behind them.

"It's good to see you. I was worried you thought I was some hot head after that display at the masquerade." Marcel stated and Maddie gave the blonde a soft smile from where she stood ahead of them. "We all have our hot-headed moments." Maddie heard Cami shrug as tapped her foot to the beat. "Anyway, I'm almost done here until cleanup, so the three of us girls can hang out if you need to go schmooze or whatever." The blonde stated, quite obviously trying to rid of him. Davina and Maddie both shared a smirk and turned to the two.

"You know, he was supposed to stop hovering, like, 10 minutes ago." The teenage girl stated, trying to get him to leave as well. "You see what I mean? Authority issues." Marcel stated with a grin and Maddie laughed.

"That's not authority issues, that's a reminder." The Petrova Hybrid defended teasingly and Marcel rolled his eyes. "Wow. I'll go talk to the mayor. He actually knows how to show some respect." Marcel commented as he got up and started to walk away, but Davina had already turned back to the music and Maddie simply flipped him off playfully.

Maddie closed her eyes, turning back to the stage. God, did she love the jazz music here, there was nowhere that had music quite like New Orleans. She loved the city and the life and the people. She loved how everyone knew how to have a good time.

Maddie placed a hand on her stomach, her eyes still closed. She'd love to raise her child here, in a place full of life. But there was a shadow casted over this city. Death. And she knew no one was really safe here. She could wish and hope but there wasn't any real reassurance that her child wouldn't be in danger here.

"So what's his name? Hot guy with the fiddle." Maddie opened her eyes, noticing Cami had walked over and was now standing on the other side of Davina. The teenage girl blushed with a nervous smile.

"Tim. I knew he'd be here. He always performs at these kind of things." Davina admitted and Maddie grinned. "How long have you two known each other?" The blonde then asked. "Since we were 10. I had to leave school, and I didn't get to say goodbye, so I was just hoping to talk to him tonight." Davina said and Maddie smiled.

"Someone has a crush." Maddie teased with a wide grin and Davina glared. "Hey! Don't think I didn't notice that flannel you're wearing is two times too big for you! So I can only assume that it belongs to your lover boy." Davina teased right back and Maddie childishly poked her tongue out at the girl as the act finished. People started moving as Davina tried to keep her eyes on the boy, but he had seemed to disappear.

"Well, he can't have gone far, D. He just got offstage a minute ago." Maddie reassured softly but the girl frowned. "It doesn't matter. This was a stupid idea anyway." Davina snapped, running away. "No, it wasn't. Davina-" Cami tried, but Davina shook her head.

"Just forget it." The teenage witch brushed off as she walked away. "D, wait." Maddie called, walking after the girl, leaving the blonde behind. Little did she know, that was the biggest mistake she made that night. Because she had managed to loose Davina in the crowd, and Cami was about to unknowingly lead the girl into a trap.

Maddie felt panic rise throughout her entire body as the longer she looked, the longer Davina had been out of her sight. She tried to find Cami as well, but the blonde had also left the bar. Maddie didn't trust the blonde, not because Cami came off as untrustworthy, but because she was vulnerable and under the control of Klaus. Maddie's hand flew to her forehead as she felt tears start to swell in her eyes.
