Maddie, Scott and Stiles met up at school the next day and explained the situation to Allison. Maddie had the map up on her IPad as Scott and Stiles showed the two girls where they were.

"Here's where we found the den, it's right in the middle of the hiking trails." Stiles stated and pointed to where the den was. "Well that could narrow down, Coyotes travel on fixed trails." Maddie stated as she and Allison shared a look and the huntress nodded. "But I think you're right about her never going back to the den. Coyotes don't like wolves." Allison stated and Maddie sighed.

"And they're really smart. If they don't want to be heard they actually walk on their toes." Maddie stated as she readjusted the books in her arms. Stiles looked up at the Petrova Hybrid with furrowed brows. "Coyotes tip-toe?" Stiles questioned and the two girls rolled their eyes.

"Yes, they fucking tip-toe." Maddie nodded and Stiles mouthed "what" before turning to Scott with a "I-am-so-done" look. The bell rung and Allison sighed as she hugged Maddie. "I gotta go, but send me the pin location?" Allison questioned as she made her way to the door.

"On it." Maddie nodded before the huntress left. "Scott, can we talk real quick?" Maddie asked and the Alpha nodded before Stiles walked over, placing a kiss on Maddie's temple and taking his seat, leaving Maddie to talk with Scott.

"Scott, I can't stay very long. I love you guys and you know I would take care of everything if I could, but I can't tell Stiles about this baby and I soon, I'll have a niece in New Orleans who will need my help." Maddie states and Scott nodded.

"Just help up get through this bardo thing as well as help Malia? I don't think we can do this in our own." Scott stated and Maddie sighed but nodded.

"Okay fine, but-" Maddie was cut off when someone approached them. "Hi! I'm Kira, you knew that, I knew you knew that, I don't know why I just told you that again." Kira ranted and Maddie rolled her eyes as Scott gave the girl a comforting smile.

"A-anyway, I have something for you. For both of you." Kira stuttered, looking more at Maddie before taking off her bag and going through it. "For us?" Maddie raised an eyebrow and Kira nodded.

"Y-yeah, a-about the Bardo. My explanation was sort of all over the place, so I did some research and I printed it out for you guys." Kira stated, digging through her back. While she wasn't looking, Maddie rolled her eyes and mocked her, causing Scott to give her a warning look before turning back to the girl.

"You didn't have to do that." Scott said to be kind as he scratched the back of his neck. "It only took a few hours." Kira shrugged off and Maddie raised an eyebrow. "Then you really didn't have to do that." Scott corrected himself and Maddie snorted quietly.

"I swear I printed it out." Kira muttered before Mr Yukimura approached them. "Kira, you forgot all the research you did for that girl you liked." Their History teacher stated and Maddie looked up with her eyebrows raised. Kira did all that, not to impress Scott, but because she wanted to impress Maddie.

Kira looked absolutely mortified at the revelation, immediately blushing as she took the stack of papers from her father. The man nodded with a smile before walking away and Maddie looked down with a small smile as Scott gave her a knowing look.

This whole time, Maddie was mean to Kira thinking she had to protect her best friend as the girl had a crush on Scott, when really, the girl didn't have a crush on Scott at all. She had a crush on Maddie.

Slowly turned around, she avoided all eye contact with Maddie, handed Scott the stack of papers before walking away. Maddie felt bad, not only because of what she assumed Kira's intentions were, but also because she had feelings for someone else and she was pregnant.
