He eyed me darkly pero nginisihan ko lang siya.

"Bibi-bear, isa lang..."

"No. Fucking. Way."

Nakita ko ang bahagyang pagpula ng pisngi niya kaya't humagikhik ako at tinigilan na siya. Kanina ko pa kasi siya kinukulit na tawagin ulit ako ng 'bibi-bear'. I heard him yesterday, I wasn't just sure if my ears are playing trick on me but I heard it.

"You know, my mom once joined an auction too" Fiero suddenly stated as we listen to the classical music that is played. And as usual, nilalaro niya ang palad ko at parang walang pakialam sa nangyayari sa paligid. "My dad was so furious that he spent a hundred thousand for him to win a date with her"

Oh, I heard that story from my mom.

"I always thought it's too much. Why would you take it that far for just a date, right? I thought its pathetic" He smirked. "But as I grow older and fall deeper, I realized, maybe it's not even enough... What he did was not even enough."

That caught my attention kaya't galing sa harap ay inilipat ko ang tingin ko sa kanya. Our gaze met kaya tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Why can you say so?" panghahamon ko. Kasi kung opinyon ko ang pagbabasehan, Tito Vonn did the right thing. But I guess we don't agree on that matter. "If you were on that situation, what will you do then?"

Natigil ang paglalaro niya sa palad ko at mahigpit itong hinawakan. His green eyes stared at me seriously as his jaw clenched.

"If it's me, then I will not be in that situation in the first place" Walang halong birong saad niya. "Once you become my wife, I will not let you get away, not in every possible fucking way. I'll flip heaven and hell if that happens"

"Who knows..." I shrugged my shoulders. "Wait, is that the reason why you came into this event? You turned down the invitation, right?"

He was invited, of course. He's one of the few people who sat on top of this business world. It's a great honor to have him join any event. Pero sa pagkaka-alam ko, he never intend to show up. His secretary confirmed his absence. Kaya nga nang nalaman kong pupunta siya ay umayaw agad ako. He's not here for business, this is somewhat personal. tsk.

This party is for hoteliers and hotel connoisseurs, why would a magnate like him, who rules the shipping business, be here anyway?

"Nandito ka, e. Why would I miss this chance of being with you"
