• Thorton is a very busy individual so gaining a crush on someone takes some time for him
• He's only busy because he makes work for himself with the inventions he wants to create
• When he does have a crush, his reaction will be like this:

• Jokes aside, he doesn't really know what to do with these newfound emotions because heck, he may look like it, but Thorton isn't emotionless
• His face is just like that
• He probably gained these fuzzy feelings after a fourth or fifth battle he lost to by this now official crush (aka you)
• Because by then he may have gotten to know you a bit more since they just hung around when he wasn't busy
• That just took him by surprise you know; someone wants to spend time with him?
• He's extremely happy and the more he hangs out with you, the more the crush increases
• "Like 78%... " "What was that?" "O-Oh, nothing!
• Thorton decides from that day forward, he will try his best to impress you be he just honestly wants you to see him as a great guy
• Refuses to have the other Frontier Brains find out about this crush because they will not, I repeat, will not leave him alone
• He loves them, yes, but they sometimes can be embarrassing
• Especially Palmer; Thorton will through himself into the sun if Palmer were to find out and try to help him by talking to you
• Caitlin finds out eventually but doesn't tell anyone about (gives him some advice and bluntly tells him he should just confess)
• So he gets started by finding time and asking you if it would be okay to hang out somewhere besides the Battle Frontier (and away from the others)
• Absolutely nervous since this is very new to him and his trying his gosh darn best to make you happy
• Literally googled a bunch of stuff like "How to tell if your crush likes you back", "How to confess your feelings", "Date ideas that won't make things too obvious", "Is the Luvdisc thing true???"
• It's not hard for him to talk to you since he's used to your presence but will admit that there are times where his heart skips a beat when you smile or laugh
• Makes conversation about you and himself and what the two of do besides battling: hobbies, favorite things, family and such
• If you reach out to hold his hand he will scream on the inside, but his face is very neutral as he apologizes for his sweaty hands
• Confesses calmly but he does stutter a bit
• "I don't have a machine to do an analysis on the percentage of how this will turn out but... You're an amazing person and I'm not just saying that because of our battles. It's what I really think of you as a person." A pause. "I've developed feelings for you over the course of our time together. I'd say it's like 100%, right?"
