Chapter 41: of the Dead Meeeeeeen

I grab Bonnie and cover her mouth with one of my hands, my other hand covering mine. I'm scared they'll hear us crying and panicking. I hear sniffing too. I hold onto Bonnie tighter. As long as she stays Bonnie, I can become Ichiya happily.

"Oh! I knew I smelled you, Y/N!" I hear a voice I recognise. I open my eyes and see Natsu and Happy at the end of the tunnel. I let go of Bonnie and she smiles, running up to hug Happy.

"Natsu... Happy..." I cry tears of joy. Seeing them un-Ichiya-fied is amazing.

"It got Shadow Gear and Lucy." I inform Natsu and Happy as we hide in an alleyway.

"Hopefully Wendy and Carla are okay..." Happy wishes.

"What happened to Erza?" Natsu asks.

"She was sniffed..." Bonnie sighs. She walks past us, as Ichiya. Natsu and Happy shriek, scared. We go into a random building and hide there.

"I looked for everyone by following their scents, but it was too late. Everyone in Fairy Tail is... Ichiya." Natsu tells me. Bonnie and I both gasp at the thought.

"What about you two? How are you two okay?" I ask Natsu. Natsu shrugs and Happy from the top of a shelf answers, "No clue."

"Hold on! What are you doing?!" Bonnie exclaims as we see Happy tugging at something in one of the boxes. He pulls a towel from it with blue fishes. The boxes and shelf starts to shake and it all crashes down.

"Happy!" I scold. We hear one of the walls break and we start running. Natsu holding onto Happy and I'm holding onto Bonnie.

"So much for this hiding spot!" Natsu yells.

"I'm sorry!" Happy cries as we run from the Ichiyas.

Natsu uses his fire magic to light up the sewer. "The city's pretty much finished now." Natsu said. I agree with him and imply that we'll have to live in a deserted island now.

Natsu then stops in his tracks which causes me to bump into his back, Bonnie bump into my legs, and Happy bump into Bonnie's back. "I smell something..." Natsu says quietly.

"The sewage." Bonnie and Happy both answer in sync. Being a more powerful dragon slayer, I have a better nose than Natsu. I'll be able to recognise the scent better. He looks at me, wondering if I smell it too and I nod.

The lid above us opens and both Bonnie and Happy hide behind Natsu and I. Gajeel then peeks his head in. He's an Ichiya, of course. "Damn it... the dragon slayer sniffed us!" I sigh.

"I've found you Salamander, Happy, Bonnie." Gajeel says in a voice like Ichiyas. Then another head pops out. Lily's.

"No!" I hear Bonnie silently cry from behind me. I grab her and start running away with Natsu behind me. "Don't let them sniff you from close-up!" Natsu yells at me as we run from them. We hear a crash from behind us.

"Get back here.." Gajeel says in his newer and much silkier voice. We stop and turn to see them walking really slow. We turn a corner.

"Anyone else notice that they do not notice Y/N at all?" Natsu asks.

"I think it's that outfit." Bonnie suggests.

"I got a great idea!" Natsu announces.

I shake uncomfortably as Natsu, Happy, and Bonnie are all in my bunny suit. I also shake when I feel Gajeel and Lily sniffing around me, but not catching my scent. I see them walk away and no longer hear their footsteps.

"Are they gone?" Natsu asks and starts shuffling around.

"Your breathing on my back!" I whisper and they all start moving around. Just then I hear the sound of fabric ripping. "Sto—!" And it was too late. They ripped my bunny suit. I scream, loud.

"That outfit was keeping me safe!" I complain as we walk through the sewer.

"It was a good idea at the time." Natsu responds and both the exceeds agree with him.

"We should reach the outskirts of Magnolia soon." I point out as we continue walking. As we keep walking, we hear something from a distance. We stop again and Natsu attempts to sniff.

"Damn. My nose doesn't work as well in these sewers..." Natsu curses and looks over at me to see if I picked up anything. I take a sniff and I recognise it. As I'm about to tell him-

"There you are, Salamander." Gajeel and Lily appear in front of us.

"We're trapped everywhere!" Happy points out. I look around and Happy is right. Ichiyas are coming from everywhere. "We'll have to bust out of here!" Natsu gets in a fighting position.

"We can't hurt these people!" Bonnie protests. I look around then I look up. I inhale in through my mouth and I hear all three of them ask what I plan on doing. "White Dragon's: Roar!" And the white laser beams shoots up, creating a hole for us to get out.

Bonnie grabs me and Happy grabs Natsu and we fly out the sewer as quick as possible. Up in the sky we get a view of Magnolia and what it's become. A town of Ichiyas. It sends shivers down my spine. We even recognise some of our guild members down there.

"Th-this is terrible." I hear Natsu say. As we fly around, we hear girls shout our names. We turn and see Carla carrying Wendy.

"You're okay!" I exclaim.

"Carla! I'm so glad you're all right!" Happy cries and when I look over, I see tears streaming all down his face. Bonnie and I sweat dropped.

"Natsu! Romeo apparently discovered Ichiya's weakness!" Wendy tells Natsu.

"They got to him before he could tell us though..." Carla tells us at the end. I look at Natsu and see him thinking.

"Romeo told you to find me?" Natsu asks and they both confirm. I look and see Natsu's eyes widen.

"I got it!" He announces. "Happy let go of me." Happy does as told and Natsu falls into the crowd of Ichiyas.

"Careful!" I shout as he leaves my sight. Then after a while of being gone, the sun comes back and I know Natsu did it.

We're all in the guild hall, explaining the whole situation. Erza explains how it started. Ichiya created a 'parfum' and he dropped it, causing it to spread.

"Good job!" I thank Natsu. Erza grabs Natsu's head, "You don't need to be a pretty boy," and slams his head against her armour, "Being suave on the inside is what matters." She tells him and we all sweat dropped
