Chapter 8: Seven Years

"Y/N?" I feel someone shaking me. I open my eyes and sit up, looking around me I see Bisca, Alzack, and Bonnie. All with tears in their eyes. "What's wrong? And you guys look different!" I say and then Alzack and Bisca tackle me in a hug. And while they're hugging me, a bright light starts to blind me. When I manage to see what it is, I see a young lady with long blonde hair.

She starts intro herself. Turns out she's the first master of Fairy Tail. Mavis Vermillion. Last thing I remember is Acnologia hitting us with his attack. Did I save us? Her eyes turn to me.

"You did well. You managed to achieve one of the Three Great Fairy Magic, Fairy Sphere. You converted Fairy Tail's bond and faith into magic power and used that to protect yourselves from Acnologia's attack. The absolute defence. However, while doing so, time stopped and it takes seven years for time to unfreeze." She explains. Eyes all turn to me and everyone gives me a huge smile.

"This guild is turning out to be amazing, right, 3rd master?" Mavis smiles as she starts fading away. Once she left we all start reuniting with each other and on the ride back, the members that came to find us start telling us about how much Fairy Tail has changed in seven years.

It wasn't a good change. Currently they're debt with Twilight Orge, since they don't have enough jobs to pay them.

Natsu pushes the door and open and first thing I see a man about to hit an older Romeo with his weapon. Quickly I run over and kick him in the back, sending him flying towards the wall. The other Twilight Orge members turn around and Gajeel, Erza, Gray, and Master finish them off.

"We're home!" Natsu yells. Everyone starts tearing up and welcoming us back. Master explains to them what went down exactly. And they explain to us everything going on with Twilight Orge.

"Y/N... may I speak to you?" Gray asks. I nod and he pulls me aside from everyone else.

"When Acnologia came, I heard you say something to Gildarts," He starts and I really have no clue where's leading to, "You called Acnologia your dragon." He finishes.

I stay silent for a while, not able to think of an excuse. "I... Gray-"

He cuts me off, "Does anyone else know?"

"Just Master and Gildarts. You can't tell anyone, please." I ask. He doesn't say anything and just leaves me by myself.

If everyone figures out Acnologia is the person that trained me, they'll hate me.

I think to myself. Then I feel someone place their hand on my shoulder. I turn to see and it's Natsu. "C'mon let's go celebrate that we're back. You're the guest of honor since you're the reason we're still alive." He tells me.

Natsu will hate me the most. I'll forget everything for now and talk to Gray later.

"Alright, let's go!" I smile. He walks me over to Lucy, Lisanna, Happy, and Bonnie. Everyone is cheering, drinking, singing, dancing, and celebrating that we're back. As we danced the night away, eventually it came time for a speech from Fairy Tail's "hero."

Master hands me the mic and Natsu helps me up on a table. "I might have casted the spell to protect us from Acnologia, but if it wasn't for our incredible bond, it would have never worked. It wasn't all me. Thank you, to everyone, for welcoming here when I had nowhere to go. Thank you Bonnie, for being with me since day one, Natsu and Happy for taking care of Bonnie and I, and everyone for giving me a home.

We can't get those seven years back, but what matters is that we're alive. Thank you Macao, Wakaba, Max, Romeo, Bisca, Alzack, Warren, Nab, Laki, Droy, Jet, and Reedus for keeping Fairy Tail up. Here's to always being together, no matter what." I say and raise my cup and everyone does as well and claps their hands. I chug down my drink and Natsu helps me back down.

"I don't think any of us could repay you for saving us. You're the best." He compliments me. I feel my cheeks heating up. "And Y/N? Please don't leave us." He takes my hand in his.

"I promise I'm here to stay."

We were happy for a while. Thanks to me, all that's about to disappear.
