Are you sure this is what you want?
They had asked with little patience
In their voice
I thought of the line of women &
Girls behind me
Just outside of the plasterboard wall
Just outside of the sticky white door& all I could think
Is
No
No
No
No!But I instinctively nodded my head
As being told what to do
Is all I had ever
Known
I'm not blaming her
She couldn't of known
For they forgot to ask me:Is this your decision alone?
She watched me drink the
Anti- sickness liquid
As my mouth would not hold in
The pillThen after a brief moment
She slid
The white bullet across the desk
It looked so small
It didn't look capable of
Starting this allIt didn't look like
It was going to end a lifeThe water in the cup slightly
Spilt
& she watched me boredly- & I took the first pill.
