Hmm yes
Can tell it's you
From the
Voice
Too strong though
Perhaps quieten it down
Soften the edges
Craft the words into
Relatability
Maybe dampen the notes
Twist the brass like a
Kerosene lamp
I agreed to this
For years
Hushing my
Tones
Eliminating the purpose
Of soul speaking
Through words that
I
Had
Chosen
Now I proudly understand
What could be anymore relatable
Than a humans struggles
To find a standing
In the verses & muddled
Lines
Of their
Tragic
Beautiful
Life
