Subtle

There's something about the South
I tried put my finger on it
Got burnt
The sun is harsh in this part
Of the country
So quiet, who knows what occurs below the surface

So we dug deep below
Looked to the local folk
Saw something in them so ripe, so raw
Radical decisions had to be made

So we fled to the North
Filed the report
But still I thought
There is something about the South
Something we could not explain
It could not wait for the next day
For it was something that needed urgent change
