"Good morning!" I greeted my whole family. They are having breakfast at our dining table and everyone is here.

"Morning, Chie!" si Kuya Nate.

"Morning, darling!" bati ni Mama. I kissed her cheek. I sat beside Ate Vea.

"Have you decided what course you're going to take?" si Tita Lianne.

Now, everyone's looking at me and waiting for my answer. How am I supposed to answer? That I don't want to take a medical course because first of all ayoko naman talagang maging doctor. Gusto kong maging abogado pero paano?

I forced a smile. My heartbeat became faster that I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack any moment now.

"Uh, Tita..." I breathed heavily before I continued "I'm going to take Political Science."

"I-I know, T-Tita. Hindi naman talaga ako magiging doctor. I want to be a lawyer."

Uminom ng tubig si Tita Jenn. Umiling naman si Tito Qian.

"Chandra, hija I understand that your dream is to become a lawyer but we are the Del Rio's. Walang Del Rio na hindi doctor. It's our legacy..." si Tito Vince.

"And we're planning to make a hospital here," si Tita Jenn.

"Tita, you can make a hospital without me."

"Anak, you don't understand.

"No, hon. I had enough with our daughter! indi niya tayo naiintindihan!"
How many times do we have to make you understand?!"

"Pa, ayoko naman talagang maging doctor. Alam mo yan, noon pa! You can't force me to do something that I don't even like!" tumaas ang aking tono sa huling salita.
