"Akala ko ba pupunta tayo doon sa sinasabi mo? Bakit lalabas tayo ng paaralan?" tanong ko kay Jared.
"Wala naman talaga akong secret spot eh. I just used that as an excuse to you so that you'll come with me," aniya at ngumiti.
Bumitaw ako sa hawak niya.
"Di mo naman siguro ako kikidnapin ano?"
He chuckled. Shucks. Pati ang tawa niya ang ganda pakinggan!
"No! 'Course not, I'm not going to do that to you. Now, come on. Trust me," he said and held out his hand for me. I took it and we started running.
"What are you doing?!" sigaw ko habang tumatakbo.
He stopped and quickly pulled me inside Dunkin Donut's. Grabe ganito kami kalayo narating sa pagtatakbo. I mean, DD's is only a few meters away from our school pero dahil tinakbo namin ito hinihingal ako. Ano ba ang pumasok sa kukote ni Jared at naisipan niyang tumakbo kami patungo dito! Pwede naman kami sumakay ng tricycle!
May mga decorations pa from Valentine's Day kaya pulang pula ang paligid namin. We sat down, still catching our breath's until he decided to break the ice.
"What do you want? I'll order."
"Wait, before you order may tanong ako. Bakit tayo tumatakbo kanina?"
He laughed before answering my question.
"It's because it's fun to run in the middle of the night --"
I cut him off by saying, "It's not yet in the middle of the night! It's just six in the evening, for Pete's sake!"
"Totoo pala talaga yung sinasabi nila sayo, That you're dramatic," aniya habang ngumingiti. Nagkrus ang aking kilay.
"I know, I should be offended by what you said --" hindi ko natapos ang sasabihin ko dahil nagsalita siya uli.
"Oh, don't get me wrong. I like that side of yours."
I was taken aback. My heart started beating faster again. And this is all because of the guy in front of me.
"I was going to say that I'm used to people calling me maarte and dramatic. Plus, it's true naman so why would I be offended?" I chukled.
I saw his cheeks blush and oh my goodness! He look's so adorable!
