Koba x reader fluff

Koba and reader dance in the rain and share a passionate kiss

"Well you know what, forget it. I don't know why I bother with you, ya stubborn old furball!"

The colony was in awe as they saw you storm out of your hut in a flurry of anger. Your mate Koba was not far behind, huffing angrily at you as if to call you back but you continued out the colony, grumbling angrily to yourself as you disappear in the woods.

Ceaser, who had seen it all, raced to Koba and patted his shoulder. He saw the lost look in his friends eye and signed to him.

'What happened my friend?'

'(Y/n) is angry with me. She said she wanted us to do something called an anniversary, but I told her it was a human thing and I wouldn't have anything to do with it.' Koba replies.

'Have you forgotten your mate is human? If doing a human thing makes her happy then why not do it?'

'I won't do anything human related.'

'Then why did you marry her?'

Ceaser had him there, you were the one who caught his attention, made him see that not all humans were evil, made him open up more and even forget about some of the bad memories he harbored towards humans. Without you, he wouldn't be worse off then he ever was. Suddenly he felt like crap for saying those things to you. You ask so little of him...

'I should say sorry.' Koba signs, starting to go after you, but Ceaser shook his head and held him back.

'You have to do better then that Koba. Come.' He says leading the scarred ape away.

That night as you dragged the corpse if three dead elk through the forest, rain had begun to pour in. You groaned, wiping your hair from your face as the rain fell lightly, soaking you slowly as you made your way back home.

Then suddenly, over the light pitter patter of rain, you heard a song. It was an old song you hadn't heard since before the virus when you were young. It was a love song... but how the hell is it playing? The elk was forgotten as you slowly made your way down the hill, through the brush and to an empty bare spot. Your eyes nearly bugged out of your head when you saw Koba, adjusting a small radio on a stump, trying to keep it covered with a large leaf and scowl.

You couldn't help it, you laughed at his failed attempt. He heard your laughter and jumped up, the radio forgotten as he saw you emerge from the bushes.

"Alright Romeo, what's going on here?" You ask.

'Wanted to apologize for today. Didn't mean to make you feel bad. Wanted to make it up but it started to rain.' He explains glaring up at the sky, still misting with rain.

"You mean you actually wanted to do an anniversary... for me?" You ask walking up to him.

He didn't answer, only kept his head down and moved his lips to mumble at himself. You chucked, lifting his chin with your hands and pecking his lips quickly.

"That's the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me. Thank you Koba." You reply.

'You do so much for me. I wanted to return the favor... I learned something.' He signs then took your hands.

You let out an excited help as he suddenly swung you around, dancing with you sloppily. You laughed as you held his neck while he twirled you around, grinning as he too let out his own huffs of laughter.

As the two of you danced to a song on the radio, you couldn't help but feel a surge of love for him. He hated humans despised them for so long that you thought he would never warm up to you. But now as he held you in his arms while the two of you danced to a human song on a human radio in the middle of nowhere, you finally realized that his hatred was only for some. He truly loved you, wanted you to be happy. And you were, so much so that you couldn't help but kiss him suddenly, causing him to stop spinning you.

He wasted no time in kissing you back, little electric bolts of joy and pleasure shooting through you as he held you close his lips pressed against yours in one of the most passionate kisses you have shared since you met.

As he slowly pulled away, your vision was blurry and you were out of breath.

"Oh Koba..." You hummed as you hugged his neck, allowing him to sway you back and forth.

"I love you." He spoken his deep raspy voice cutting through the rain and music, making your lips turn up in a grin.

"I love you too."
