Chapter 1 Redux: Chilly Start

Y/N: (walking off) Okay, the convenience store should only be a few blocks away...All I need to do is grab whatever food I can and leave.

Y/N: Might as well make it a small adventure and explore more of Vale.

After coming to her decision, Y/N heads off to see more of the city as she explores to see the various stores offered by the city as it consists of arcades, cafes, restaurants, and on a few rare occasions a weapons shop alongside a dust shop.

Once she finished exploring Y/N finally heads over to the convenience store, the black haired girl looks at the various foods they have left to offer as she spots a few packs of cup of noodles, she takes two of them leaving her twelve cups.

Y/N: This should be enough to last me for a month.

As she continues to shop, something catches Y/N's eyes as it's revealed to be a whole assortments of sweets consisting of small cakes, candy, and so many more treats. Despite having a small reluctance to buy them Y/N's sweet tooth prevails in her inner struggle as she grabs a few of the desserts for herself.

She makes it over to the counter as the store clerk scans her items before stating the price.

Store Clerk: That will be 15 Lien.

Y/N pulls out her wallet and hands him the exact amount of money requested as the purchase is complete. The store clerk places her items in bags as Y/N takes them before exiting the store.

The sun is seen slowly setting as Y/N makes her way back to her apartment, the black haired girl enters her room as she sets her bags down and starts putting them up in her kitchen.

She proceeds to grab one of the cup of noodles and fills it up with water before placing it in the microwave. After a few minutes pass the timer beeps as Y/N grabs her warm dinner and heads over to her bed, the black haired girl takes a seat and turns on her tv as she starts to enjoy her meal.

A news broadcast is shown as her tv as the reporter on the job is Lisa Lavender, who's currently going over the increase in crime going on in Vale.

Lisa Lavender: (as Y/N continues to enjoy her noodles her report features a mugshot of a ginger haired man) Multiple witness reports have made it clear that the dust shops in our city have become the hotspot of the current rise in crime, many reports believe the current leader involved in the thieft is the notorious criminal known as Roman Torchwick.

Lisa: So, far there has been no reports about any casualties occuring within the attacks as the question currently plaguing everyone's mind at the moment is "Why are they only stealing the dust?"

Lisa: (keeps talking until the tv suddenly cuts off) This is due to the fact that with each reported theft only the dust has been stolen and not the Lien made within the store. In other news the White Fang-

Y/N: I guess I'm not going to head outside for a while. (finishes her meal as she throws it away before grabbing a towel and heading to the bathroom)

After showering up, Y/N changes into her night attire before noticing that she's low on outfits. The black haired girl proceeds to grab her dirty laundry and places them within her washing machine.

Y/N: (lying down on her bed) Guess I'll put them in the dryer in the morning...

She looks up at the ceiling in thought as her mind suddenly has multiple memories erupt, the images of a dark wolf-like creature appears as the screams of man and woman are heard, the last and final image shown are the mangled corpses of the man and woman.
