"Hey hey hey, what are you talking about? Nothing is your fault here" Gray tries to reassure me but I shake my head.

"I don't make any time for you and I feel so bad about it, and I just realized that you haven't even met most of my friends here yet. I've been here for 2 months! Something is seriously wrong with me" I keep on going and Gray brings me into his embrace. He strokes my back and kisses my head.

"The way it's been with us is no ones fault. I know distance is harder than we thought but look at us, we're still good Lyd. We're better than good. I love you, I would never put myself in a position to loose you"

POV Lydia
"I think we can all agree on that this whole relationship hasn't really been according to the book, but it's certainly according to a Hollywood rom-com. No but for real, it's been so interesting to follow the two of you from the first row. And let me tell you all, it's been a journey worth remembering. From the two of you trying to hide your relationship to not giving a fuck anymore and have sex in a bathroom stall at school. And now I'm at your wedding" Sierra starts her speech and the whole audience oohhhhs. I look over at mom who's covering Lacey's ears, the poor girl is still young. Mom and I still have our disagreements, but we've been better at working through them.

"As the bride's best friend, I have the inside scoop. I'm a very good friend so I'm not gonna talk about everything Lydia has told me about you gray, but I'm thinking of telling you about the time gray wore Lydia's panties. Voluntarily" she continues and I cheer loudly, that's one hell of a story. Grayson shakes his head in disbelief while the crowd starts chanting 'tell us, tell us' over and over again.

"Majority has spoken, I'm so sorry gray but it's gonna happen. So, Grayson and Lydia had a... lovely night together back in first year of college, and the morning after Grayson couldn't or was too lazy find find his own clothes. So naturally he took Lydia's panties to go out to take some morning coffee. But lazy Grayson forgot one little thing, he was in Lydia's dorm, not his own apartment. So get this, he walked out in the shared living room slash kitchen, remember he's only in panties by now, and appropriately enough it was Lydia's roommate Amanda's turn to host the study session in her living room. The living room Grayson just walked into" she says and Grayson hides in his face in his hands. I laugh at him as I try to take his hands away, and I succeed. His face is red as a tomato and I laugh at him. I'm married to this softy.

"Thanks for being such a great sport gray. I gotta tell you guys, I've known these two as a couple for, what? Like 8 years I believe, and it's been the best time of my life. You guys have helped me through some of my darkest times and for that I will be eternally grateful. You two getting married is all I've ever wanted for you. I love you guys, to the bride and groom" she finishes off and raises her glass. Grayson and I get up to hug her as everyone cheers.

"I love you Sierra, you're truly a natural speaker" I say to her as I hug her, and after me Grayson hugs her too and thanks her.

"Aunt Lydia! Can we please eat some cake now?" Sierra's daughter Jamie runs up to me and tries her best puppy eyes on me. Yes, daughter. Sierra went through quite a rough patch 5 years ago, but she got the most wonderful daughter out of it.

"Sorry sweetie. But I'll tell you what, if you talk to Anne in the kitchen, I'm sure she can give you some sort of snack. But only if you ask nicely" I say to her and her face lights up. Grayson ruffles her hair before she runs off.

"Thanks one more time for letting her come. I know she can be a lot at times" Sierra says and I shake my head with a smile. Sierra is a single mother, I know she's really struggling and I want to help her out as much as possible. She got pregnant by Isaac when she was 21. And he left her as soon as he found out. I hate him for it.
