31. THE ONE WITH KENDALL FINDING OUT

I've been living at home for a week now, Sierra took it kind of hard that I left her but Grayson took it the hardest. He obviously knows that he's not really on mom's list of her favorite people even though I've tried to explain that she'll be more open minded this time. I hope.

Lacey is probably the happiest about me living at home again, because this way she can meet Grayson all the time. At least that's how she sees it, in reality he's not here that often since mom doesn't like him. I'm still at his place a lot, it's just easier.

Sierra and I just got back from prom dress shopping, prom is in a week so we are pretty darn late, and I definitely found the one. The feeling when I tried it on, it's indescribable. If I enjoyed prom dress shopping this much, I can't even begin to imagine what wedding dress shopping will be like.

"So, you're going to prom with gray. How are you guys gonna handle that? No one knows about the two of you" Sierra says as I'm driving her home.

"I really don't know Sierra. I guess we'll have to go public but gray and I haven't talked about it" I admit and it sounds silly saying it out loud but I think we both have been pushing this for as long as we could.

"No one will buy that you're going together as friends, that's for sure. And I think you'll have a better senior prom experience if you can just let loose and do whatever you want" she says and I nod, she's right and I know it. I really need to talk to Grayson about this. I think he's ready to go public though, if he's not then I don't know what we'll do.

We drive in silence the last minutes to Sierra's house, and she thanks me as she steps out of the car.

"Anytime" I answer and she turns around before closing the door.

"You sure you don't wanna sleep here?" She asks and I laugh at her a little bit. I know that Isaac is in the house, his car is literally right in front of mine, and she just wants to be polite and ask me since she knows I don't have the easiest time at home.

"Yes!" I exclaim and reach over to close the door but she stands in the way. "Now go get that boy of yours"

She laughs, blows me a kiss and closes the door. Then I watch her run to her door and I drive away when I see that she's inside the house. I'm almost home when I get an incoming call from Grayson and I connect the call to my car.

"What's up?" I say and I hear a lot of people talking in the background.

"Hi babe, I'm at the skate park with the guys and I know I promised to come to your place tonight but I was thinking that maybe you could come here instead? It's a nice evening and I don't wanna sit inside all night" he says and I can clearly hear all the guys in the background, flipping their boards or whatever they do.

"Do I have to?" I sigh, I've done this before and all I do is watching them skate. Also, I can't be Grayson's girlfriend around the guys yet and that sucks.

"Come on, Ellie and Alexis will come later tonight so you won't be alone" he pleads and I hear someone shout his name, telling him to check something out. "It'll be fun, maybe we'll go to the beach later tonight, light a bonfire and play some music. You and I could even..." he whispers the last part and clicks his tongue. Even though I'm not sure what he means, I giggle a little.

"Fine. I just need to change, then I'll come"

We're all by the beach, the bonfire is lit and the music is blasting. The sun has just started to set and the sky has a nice orange-pink-ish color. It's getting a little bit chilly for my outfit but I can't ask gray for his jacket as I usually would, it's a bit too risky. Before I know it I feel his hands on my shoulders, putting his jacket over my shoulders without me even asking. This is how I know he's the right guy for me.

I shoot him an 'are you sure?' look and he smiles with a the smallest of smiles. I can tell that he's having a hard time not putting his arm around me right now, and I'm having a hard time not to lean into him too.

"Who's up for some swimming, it's a beautiful night" Jayden suddenly proposes and everyone cheers. Before I know it everyone starts running to the ocean and I get up to join, but I feel gray's hand on my thigh, telling me to stay.

"Stay" he whispers when everyone has left and he gets closer to my face, we're just inches apart. "I'm gonna kiss you now" he leans in and his lips meets mine, I've been dying to do this for the whole night.

"We should go to the others" I whisper as we pull away but our heads stay close to each other.

"Or" he starts and gives me a peck "we could stay here, together"

"What. The. Fuck" gray and I jerk away from each other and I turn around. "You two are-are-" Kendall reveals himself from behind us and I don't know what to do now. I thought everyone was by the water?

"Kendall..." Grayson says, probably unable to say anything else, and he slowly slides further away from me.

"Okay. I can deal with this. No biggie" Kendall says but he's obviously affected by this. "Can I just ask why? Why would you risk our friendship like this? When you guys break up I'm gonna be forced to choose between you two and I don't want to do that"

"We're not fooling around Kendall, I love him" I say to him and I get his concerns, I really do. But I don't think it'll be a problem.

"And I love her. Come on man, this doesn't change anything" gray says and stands up, taking me with him by holding my hand close. We walk up to him and embrace him in a hug.

"So you guys have seen each other naked?" Kendall mumbles and if I was drinking water right now, I'd for sure choke on it.

"Bold of you to assume we've had sex" Gray laughs and pulls out of the hug "but yes"

"Alright next subject" I quickly say when I see that Kendall looks disgusted, and he seems like he regrets asking. "Maybe we should join the others"

Kendall still looks like he still saw a ghost and I try not to laugh at him because I know that's not what he needs right now, but I think I'm failing.

"Cheer up dude, you will see a lot more kissing and hugging in the future! I know how much you love that"
