Talia's POV

"You ready baby?" Julie asks.

"How do I look?" I ask.

"Sexy." Julie says then she licks her lips as she adjusts my tie. "Very very sexy."

"I hate that your hurt." I say with a pout.

"Why baby?" Julie innocently asks.

"Well one because I hate seeing you hurt and two, because I really really REALLY wanna make love to you." I say.

"Soon Talia." Julie says. "Soon."

"LOVEBIRDS YOU READY?" Becky shouts as Julie and I grab our things.

"YEAH." I shout back then Julie grips onto my elbow.

The two of us leave our bedroom then we meet up with Christen, Kelley, and Becky in the living room of our suite in Paris.

Tonight is the 2020 Ballon d'Or Ceremony.

"Well don't you three look beautiful." I say.

"You don't look to bad yourself Freckles." Christen says.

"The cars here." Becky says.

The five of us grab everything we need for the night then we leave our hotel room and head down to the lobby. After we get to the lobby we head out to the waiting car then we head to the Grand Palais. Once at the Grand Palais the five of us get out of the car and walk the red carpet while periodically stopping for pictures.

When we get to the end of the red carpet we are lead to our seats then we sit down and a couple minutes later the ceremony starts.

The beginning of the ceremony is a bit boring since it's all just a bunch of mindless talking.

Eventually I am told to head back stage with the rest of the nominees so I peck Julie's lips then head back stage.

When I get back stage a highlight video is shown of me, Ada Hegerberg, Vivianne Miedema, and Pernille Harder.

"And the Ballon d'Or Féminin goes to...Talia Martin."

The moment I hear my name announced my jaw drops and a few seconds later Viv hugs me then the other two ladies hug me as well. After the hugging I walk out of a little door way and onto the stage then I walk towards the railing and approach the Ballon d'Or. I then grab the Ballon d'Or and look at it for a little bit before I hold it up for the pictures and smile.

"YEAH TALIA." Kelley yells causing me to smile.

After all the pictures are taken I set the trophy down then I wait for some old dude to approach.

"Congratulations Talia." The old man says.

"Thank you." I say.

"You're the first defender, the second consecutive American, and the youngest to win this award...How do you feel?"

"Shocked." I admit which earns a few laughs.

The older gentlemen asks me a few more questions then I grab the trophy, walk down the stairs, and sit down in my seat.

"Holy shit." I mumble as I look at the Ballon d'Or.

"Congrats T." Julie says then she kisses my cheek.

The rest of the ceremony goes by quickly and at the end of the ceremony I take pictures with the winner of the men's Ballon d'Or and the winner of the Kopa Trophy then I meet back up with my friends.

"Congrats Freckles." Christen says and hugs me.

"Thanks...What times our flight?" I say.

"Two hours." Becky says as she hugs me. "I'm so proud of you Talia."
