Chapter 10

I open my eyes, pain shooting through my eyes to my brain. Ouch... Migraine. I immediately close them again. I still feel so tired, so I turn around in bed, my body making contact with something big and hard. I open my eyes lazily, staring right into Lucas, sound asleep. What the fuck??

I think I just got rid of the migraine too.

I back off a bit, scared of waking him up. My mind is foggy as I try to remember what happened. Why is he in bed with me?

A sudden burst of fear shoots through my body, and I quickly lift the covers to see I'm only in my underwear. I gulp nervously as my eyes slowly trail over to where Lucas is laying. He is only in boxers.

I frown as I try to think but my mind just won't focus.

"That's not attractive so early in the morning." I hear Lucas say in a low voice and I get a small fright from the unexpected talking.

I just stare at him, searching his face for answers of what could have happened.

He lets out a chuckle which make him sound like heaven. He could actually be so desirable if only he wasn't so... Cold.

"What's the matter, love?" He asks in his brittish accent. I could melt right now.

I shake the thought out of my head. "What happened?" I question him confused still.

"Nothing. I was thirsty and snacked on you." He said slowly.

"What?? I don't remember that!" I say frantically.

"I compelled you. If you were to struggle against me I might have... Lost control." He says casually as if its the most normal thing in the world.

"Compell?" I ask feeling slightly nausiated at this information. He can make me do what he wants when he wants? That's a terrifying thought.

"Yes love. The First family all have the ability to compell. Plus some other fun powers." He says proudly.

"What about normal vampires?" I ask before I could even think about it clearly.

"Normal vampires?" He questions while letting out a little laugh. I could see the amusement in his eyes as they glow.

"You know... Like, I don't know.." I say half stupidly, realising how dumb I just sounded. Someone slap me with a dead fish please..

"You mean vampire's like Michael? Mostly only their senses are hightened and their reflexes are better. But occasionally true blood, like mine, will seep through into some and they get special abilities." He starts to tell me the heritage of their kind.

I'm so intrigued by all this that I cross my legs and rest my head on my hand, elbow supporting on my leg.

"How are vampire's created?" I ask hesitantly, but I want to know.

"Well, there are 2 ways. One, only the First Bloodline Family, like me, can have offspring. Secondly, any vampire can create another vampire through their blood. It's quite simple, and can be done within a few hours." He continues to indulge my eagerness on knowledge.

"So you can have children?" I quickly question.

"Well me and all my family members. Male or female." He says as if it's common knowledge.

"Wait, is Kaidan really your brother?" I ask confused.

"Well ofcourse. Why would you think he's not?" He questions me frowning.

"Well he told me he died in World War II." I say showing him the number with my fingers.

He let's out a loud laugh. I could see him actually tearing up from it.

I just stare at him poker faced.

"What?" He asks through laughs.

"What's so funny?" I ask him feeling insulted.

"I'm sorry love, its been a while since I've had the company of a human female companion. Please excuse my manners." He says with a small smile and I could see his pearly white teeth show off.

"Hmm" was all I muttered.

"So, to answer your question. When a member of the First Bloodline have children, they are born as halflings. Half vampire, half human. You see, they can turn fully at the age of their own choosing. But, ofcourse, we have to die just like when a human does when being turned. Unfortunately for Kaidan, his choice was taken away when he chose to fight in the war at the age of 18." He says with somewhat empathy.

"Wow.." The words left my mouth as I'm completely sucked in by this interesting facts.

"So what's your abilities?" I question further.

"I think I've given you more than enough to sate your curiosity. Kaidan is taking you out today, so get ready." He says, back to his cold self.

I just sat there flabbergasted at what just left his mouth. So he doesn't know what Kaidan did? Fuck.

"Wh.. Why?" I stutter suddenly feeling very cold all over.

"He is going to enlighten you more on our history." He spoke, but he sounded distracted.

"Oh" I say as I untangle myself from my sitting position, trying to get up. But, I got pulled back down by soft, strong hands. Sweet lord have mercy.

"Kiss me." He ordered. Not seductively or anything. Just... Demanding.

"What??" I asked shocked at his request.

Before anything else, he twisted us so he was on top of me on the bed.

"Please don't." I beg him.

"It's just a kiss." He breathed then he leaned down, and his lips brushed mine. Then he kissed me full on and it felt.... Weird. A sensation unknown, without a description or a word.

He pulled away, and I stare at him shocked, to see his eyes are closed, a smile forming on his delicious lips.

"Interesting.." He whisper and open his eyes, only to look straight into mine.

"What is?" I ask still in shock from what I just experienced.

"Just.. It's not important now." He says, instantly moving off of me. The fuck just happened?? I ask myself mentally.
