Two Steps Forward, Two Steps Backward

Younger me turned around to see the guy that did this.

Young Reiko: Why?! Why did you do this?!

He just grabbed his weapon and charged, but she dodged it and pulled out her sword.

Adam: If that boy couldn't hold me off, what makes you think you can?

Her eyes widen.

Young Reiko: What... what did you do to Y/N and Reiko?!

Adam: Relax. He's alive. He got away. As for the blue haired girl, I'm not so sure.

She charged at Adam which he simply blocked with his sword and sends her back by pushing on the sword sending her into a nearby rock. The rocks shook out came Young Reiko with nothing in her eyes but rage

Reiko: I remember this. The time when I saw my house burned to the ground.

Young Reiko: I'm done playing around.

She throws her sword to the ground and grabs her main weapon which is a staff that turns into a taser. She charges at her with the staff and hits him in the head and then the stomach to the cheek making him stumble back.

Adam: What?! You weren't like this earlier!

Young Reiko: My semblance is Combat Strike. My semblance depends on battle. My strength goes  up by small increments the longer the battle drags on. In other words my strength keeps increasing until the fight ends.

Adam: What?!

She changes her staff to the taser which means the top of the staff opens up allowing electricity to come out. She charges at her, but he just blocks it with his sword charging up his semblance. He then fired his semblance releasing all the energy he's been storing up. She ran straight into it and the staff allowed her to go right through and hits him on the leg to his side and then to the head making him fall back.

Adam: Ugh...

Reiko: I guess you didn't charge up enough.

He charged at her and tried to stab her, but she dodged and went for the head again, but he blocks it and stabs me right through the stomach. She struggled to stay standing as blood went out of my mouth and out of the wound. She clenched on the staff and with the last of her energy, she electrocuted them both. The next thing I saw, my younger self falling to the ground and an injured Adam walking away, as much as he wanted to kill me, the Atlas military came just in time, so Adam got out of there just before they came. And when my younger self came to, she was in an Atlas hospital bed. Shortly after a man came in saying his name is Ironwood.

Young Reiko: Where? Where is that guy?

Ironwood: I don't know? She was gone when I got there.

Young Reiko: Who was he Anyways.

Ironwood: His name is Adam. He try to kill you Leaving no one alive, but he ran unable to kill you in time. But, eventually, he will come after you again and try to kill you again.

Young Reiko: I want to become stronger. So when the time is right I can kill him.

Ironwood: We could help you get stronger. By staying her in Atlas.

Young Reiko:...

Ironwood: I understand if you don't wan-

Young Reiko: I'll do it.

Ironwood: Huh?

Young Reiko: I'll do it. I'll train here in Atlas.

His voice starts to fade out

Ironwood: When you get better, we'll begin.

Y/N POV

We were walking through the forest having Qrow on a stretcher. Ruby and I were holding the stretcher.

Ruby: Just... hold on, Uncle Qrow.

Qrow: Tai... She's not... coming... Tai...

He then begins to cough obviously feeling the effects of the poison.

Y/N: He's getting worse.

Ruby: How much farther?

Ryoko: We've gotta be close.

Ren: Without the map, there's no way of knowing. But I feel like we're close to something.

He then stops.

Ana: What is it?

We then sees a couple of signs and one says Mistral.

Nora: Hey, hey! Mistral! We're on the right path! Oh...

Ruby: Does it say how close?!

Ren: No. And it looks like the path takes us up through the mountains.

We set the stretcher down.

Y/N: Guys, I don't know if all of us can make that climb.

Ruby: Ok. Well, what about this place? Kuro... Kuroyuri. Can we get help there?

Ren: That village was destroyed years ago.

Jaune: But if it takes us around the mountains, it's the best bet we've got.

Ren: It will take to long.

Kitsune tugs on my sleeve.

Kitsune: Is Mr. Qrow going to die.

I kneel down and tries to reassure her.

Y/N: He'll be fine. Don't worry.

Ruby: The town would have had a doctors, right? Or maybe we could scavenge for medicine.

Jaune: Right!

Ren: We're not going to find anything! We just have to press on!

Y/N: Ren, why are you acting-

Nora: We can split up.

Ruby: Huh?

Nora: Ren, Ana, and I can cut through the mountains while the rest of you will take Qrow around the village.

Jaune: No, we're supposed to stick together. We keep each other safe!

Nora: We don't have time for safe! If we make it to Mistral, we'll bring back help! If we don't, at least we'll have a better view of the land! Up there, we can see if there's somewhere else we can go!

Qrow violently coughs again.

Jaune: Ok. Just take care of each other.

Ren, Nora, and Ana goes to the mountains while Ruby and I pick up the stretcher as well as Ryoko, Jaune, and Kitsune follows us.

Ruby: There going to be fine.

Jaune: You don't know that.

Halfway into town, Ryoko and I see something we never wanted to see again. Ana, Nora, and Ren runs back to us.

Ren: We gotta get out of here, there's a-
