Hyunjin drove them to where he had planned the date to be which was the park
He grabbed the picnic basket with one hand and then grabbed Seungmin's hand with his other
"We are having a picnic?" Seungmin asked him
"Yes, but before that, let's go rent bikes"
"Oh, okay that sounds like fun I guess"
Hyunjin led Seungmin over to a little booth that had bikes locked up next to it.
Seungmin stayed behind Hyunjin, letting him do all the talking "Can we rent 2 bikes please?"
The guy looked at the innocent-looking kid behind Hyunjin and smirked.
What's this guy smirking at? Do I need to fight someone I swear to god I will
The guy looked away and got out two keys. Hyunjin paid for the rentals and took the keys from the man.
"First two bikes on your right" was all the guy said
"Here you go" Seungmin took one of the keys and went over to one of the two bikes.
Hyunjin put the picnic basket on the back of his bike and unlocked it. Both of the boys rode their bikes to the beginning of a main pathway of the park and decided to go left down a trail that would hopefully have a nice place to set up their picnic
As they were riding their bikes Hyunjin saw a swan in the water
"Hey! Seungmin!" He screamed
"What is it?" Seungmin screamed back so Hyunjin could hear him
Hyunjin pointed to his right at a swan but they had already passed so he pouted
Seungmin looked back and forth between Hyunjin and his steering path and noticed Hyunjin's pout
"What was it!"
"Nothing, just a swan!" Hyunjin yelled.
It was pretty, just like you
They continued riding down the path, pointing out things they saw such as squirrels or weird looking flowers. Before they knew it 30 minutes had passed and it was time for them to find a place to sit and set up their picnic
Hyunjin stopped his bike next to an open field surrounded by flowers and it overlooked the lake
Seungmin stopped behind him "Is this where we are setting up the picnic because I'm hungry"
"Yeah we can set it up underneath that tree over there" Hyunjin pointed to the only tree in the field and Seungmin nodded
They walked their bikes over to the tree and laid them against it
"Help me layout the blanket" Hyunjin told Seungmin
They took the blanket out of the basket and laid it flat on the ground together. Luckily there was only a slight breeze so the blanket didn't fly up
Seungmin grabbed the basket and laid it out in the middle of the blanket, sitting down afterward
Hyunjin sat down too and started taking food out
"I hope you like what I made. It took me a while make" Hyunjin laughed a little and Seungmin just looked at him
Hyunjin coughed and handed Seungmin the first thing which was a sandwich with a bunch of ingredients that made it not so boring
Seungmin took a bite of it and his eyes widened
"This is really really good, I didn't know you could cook" Seungmin complimented him
"Thank you, and I just followed recipes I found on the internet and hoped for the best honestly so I'm glad that it turned out well" Hyunjin said as he grabbed the other sandwich that he made
They tried some of the other food that Hyunjin made which consisted of egg rolls, spicy rice cakes, kimbap, and some other things
They couldn't finish everything he made but it made Hyunjin happy that Seungmin liked all the food
While they were eating the sun was beginning to set they watched the sunset for a while then realized that they should probably hurry up and go return the bikes before it gets completely dark outside
They had to ride the bikes back a lot quicker then what they did to get there but luckily they got there before the sun had completely set
"He do you want to get desert?" Hyunjin asked Seungmin
"We just ate so much food though" Seungmin replied
"So no?"
"No, I still want dessert, let's go" Seungmin said
They held hands as they walked to a nearby convenience store and got two ice creams
They walked out and as soon as they did Seungmin gasped at the sky
"Woah, the stars look so pretty" Seungmin said
"Let's go sit and look at them for a while"Hyunjin said as he grabbed Seungmin's hand and lead him to the park again
They sat on the playground close to each other and looked at the stars
Hyunjin started thinking, if he was going to ask Seungmin to be his boyfriend now would be a good time
But it still seemed a bit soon for that, and he didn't want to change the mood of the situation at all right now, it seemed perfect
"Hyunjin"
"Yeah"
"I like you a lot" Seungmin said while laying his head on Hyunjin's shoulder
"I like you a lot too" Hyunjin responded laying his head over Seungmin's and grabbed his hand to hold
Hyunjin wasn't expecting Seungmin to say I love you to him yet and this was definitely good enough for now
