CHAPTER 1

The lady inspector was shouting at him, which later on turned to plead, pleading him to go back to his wife and reconcile their differences.Shyam Prasad woke up from his dream or was it a nightmare, but he had a grin on his face. The bus came to a sudden halt and all the tourists, cameras in hand were clicking away at the herd of elephants crossing the road and making their way to the other side of the reserve forest. He looked around and wondered what will happen if all these people stayed at his resort deep in the jungle where sightings of wild elephants, leopards and bears were like a common day affair. Again, a grin on his face./

The bus started moving and Shyam Prasad recollected all the events that led his wife to file false charges against him four years back, culminating in him filing for divorce. He was glad it was over, over at last. All he missed were his two lovely daughters, the only grace of a fifteen year-long miserable marriage. Deep down, Shyam knew he was a loner, and he loved it so much. He looked around at his co-passengers and wondered how many of themwere really truly happy, happy at just being themselves and doing what they really loved and being so much at peace with their self.

He looked through the window of the airconditioned bus which was now entering Mysore, on his way to Bangalore to spend a week with his mom and sister. He saw the huge Hanuman temple, said a silent prayer, thanked the Almighty for giving him a new lease of life, a new meaning.Boy, life could never be so good.

However, Shyam Prasad's life was about to change forever and also change the course of the country he loved, Majestic India.
