Chapter 7 They're Demigods Too?!

Chapter 7: I Unleash The Chain Of Awesomeness

Training with the Stolls again might take a while. So I sparred with Connor with my weapon which I decided to call "σκοτάδι" which is Darkness in Greek. We were in the middle of slashing up some dummies after sparring with each other when we heard a scream.

"HELP!! HELP US PLEASE!!!!" A boy's voice was heard across camp, and his voice seemed familiar.

Travis, Connor and I ran out to see who was screaming for help. We saw a boy who was drenched in sweat, carrying a girl. Both of them seemed to be at my age, and both of them seemed so familiar, but with their hair all over their faces and dirt covering their face, it was hard to tell.

"Please help our friend. He's being attacked by a monster." The boy begged still carrying the girl, who had her black hair in a ponytail and her glasses crooked on her face, they looked so familiar and I had the urge to hug both of them.

"Travis, Connor you guys take care of them. Take them to the infirmary give them ambrosia and nectar." I shouted as I took off to where the sounds of a monster attacking could be heard.

"And what are you gonna do?" Travis shouted as he and Connor ran to the new demigods.

"I'll take care of the monster." I shouted back.

I reached Thalia's pine tree and scanned the area. I found a satyr who was bleeding and swinging a wood club at the monster, which I realized was a gryphon . I ran towards their direction as I unlatched Darkness from my jeans. I stopped a few feet away from the monster.

"Run back to camp, call other demigods for help!" I told the satyr and he nodded.

I threw a stone and it hit it's leg, lets pray that hit was hard enough to disable it's scratching ability. I swung the end and it expanded into a shield, another one came and I cursed.

My scent is attracting them, but I just can't escape this battle. I need to fight back.

One swooped down and I rolled out of the way covering myself with my shield. I held onto the other end muttering erm screaming random words.

"HADES!"
"DARKNESS!"
"ANGELS!"
"OLYMPUS!"
"DEMONS!"
"GODS!"
"TWIGS!"
"NATURE!"
"SOULS!"
"DEATH!"
"POTATO!"
"THANADES! OH FUDGE WHAT THE FAQ!? DID I CREATE A NEW SHIP?! HELL NO!"

I was getting impatient, me screaming got the gryphons confused for a few seconds but they remembered they were supposed to attack me. They flew down again and I did the same thing, roll and block, sure I could use the powers I got from Khione but I still don't know how to control it. I got so frustrated with the gryphons and with my own weapon that I didn't realize I was speaking in Ancient Greek.

"I, Silvia Dela Cruz, Daughter of Hades. Claim ownership over the chain of the Underworld, The chain of balance, The chain of the River Styx, The chain that imprisoned Death himself! I am the weilder of the chain entrusted to me by Lord Hades!" I screamed. The chain started glowing an eerie black and so did my eyes. Soft voices of men and women whispered into my ear, a sentence that will prove that I am the rightful owner of the chain.

"Love and Hate, Peace and War, Angels and Demons, Heaven and Earth, Life and Death. All are opposites, but all are one."

At the other end of the chain, a blade appeared, the right side was Demonic Black while the other side was Angelic White.

"This is gonna be good."

I swung the chain and accidentaly hit myself. What? This us my first time using it, you can't expect me to be a pro at this. Yeah sure this is my weapon, it feels natural but it doesn't mean I can handle it! I swung again and again and I gained more cuts. How my soul wasn't severed from my body yet is a mystery to me.
