Chapter 16 Secrets And Stuff

(Still in Ken's POV)

Somebody was waking me up and I quickly sat up to see Silvia's dark eyes.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked taking my bow out.

"No it's just time for me to walk I want you to guard the others I'll be back in 15 minutes."

"Ok." I answered groggily.

"And Ken I want you to swear on the River Styx to never follow me." Silvia warned me.

I gulped "OK fine I swear on the Styx to never follow you only for this night."

"Good, see you later." She smiled at me and left.

I waited for two minutes and tackled Nico.

"Nico, Nico, Nico." I whispered slapping his face ferociously.

I didn't know if I should be relieved or afraid when he woke up. He looked mad, he radiated death more than normal and he looked like he was ready to kill me.

"What?" He hissed angrily.

"It's Silvia, she went for a walk, but before she left she woke me up to guard you guys and made me swear on the Styx to never follow her." I explained. He softened a bit and stood up.

"I need to follow her." He said.

"As much as I want to go she made me swear on the Styx so here." I handed him a device.

"What's this?" He asked me as he took the device.

"Wear it on your ear. That way you'll hear and talk to me and I'll be able to hear and talk to you." I positioned the earpiece on his left ear and took out another one. "And you wear this on your head so I can see what you're seeing." I placed it on his head.

"I don't see how this is necessary." He grumbled but reluctantly wear the gizmos
"I'll be back and try to at least help me." He said and he took off.

The devices were connected to my phone. I whipped it out of my bag and opened the application. I put my headphones on and looked for connection and Nico's view was on my phone screen.

"You found her?" I asked, speaking to the microphone.

"Yeah I'm trying to be quiet as possible and she's wearing a mask." I heard his voice it was more quiet as usual. "She also has a staff, about five feet tall."

"Stay out of her view be at least fifteen feet away from her."

"Sure."

After a few minutes it stayed like this. I would watch and try to help Nico to be unnoticable while he tries to be as quiet as possible. Silvia would sometimes turn around and Nico would hide behind something.

Until Silvia hid behind something while somebody passed Nico hid too but made sure to see who was passing by. It was a man carrying a young girl who looked about fifteen. She was trying to scream or make a sound but he tied a piece of cloth on her mouth and she couldn't make a noise. His hands carried her like a sack of potatoes and she was fighting occasionally hitting him in the face. He would growl but she never stopped and by his actions I could tell that he was heavily drunk.

"What can I do Silvia came out of her hiding place. She could get in trouble when that guy sees her. I can smell the scent of liquor here and I'm ten feet away." Nico said I saw Silvia come out and follow the man. I wanted to scream "SILVIA GET OUT OF THERE AND RUN!!" but I couldn't. Nico started to come out to save her when I felt something.

"Nico don't stay there I have a feeling that we'll know something important from the next scenes." I whispered.

"What let me stay here watch Silvia get harmed by a drunk man. We all know the most common thing super drunk men do to girls." He hissed back.

"Just don't if something bad happens to Silvia feel free to kill me."

"Fine."

Nico's POV

What am I doing? Why am I hiding here watching Silvia walk behind the drunk guy and maybe risk her maidenhood? I need to help her I don't care what Ken says I need to help my sister. Before I could act Silvia did somethig that almost gave me a heart attack. She tapped the drunk man's shoulder and he turned around and looked at Silvia.

"Can you please put her down and leave like a good guy?" She asked him. I wanted to run out there but something held me back, a part of my brain telling me that she'll be alright.

"Hughhhhhh." The guy dropped the girl and went straight for Silvia.

She dodged and did another thing that surprised me; she puched the guy. He tried to fight back but since he was drunk he missed she punched him in the jaw and kicked him in the most painful place for a man. He doubled over and puked all over the street, but Silvia wasn't contented. She looked at the girl who was staring at her and I saw anger flash in her eyes through the mask she was wearing and charged the man kicking him in the stomach until he was unconsious. She dragged him to a nearby lampost and tied him with a rope from her pocket. Before she left him alone she dipped her gloved hands in blue paint.

"Nico?" I heard Ken's voice again, he didn't do much but gasp in shock during the fight.

"Yeah?"

"This is the best time to run back before she sees you." And with that I sprinted off with the last sight of Silvia removing the rope from the girl's hands.
