Chapter 4 The Tour

I woke up in the middle of the night because of the nightmares and I saw that it was still dark outside. I checked my phone to see what time it was already (A/N I know that demigods shouldn't have phones, but just continue reading and you'll find out how Silvia got a phone.) 4:08 in the morning and Travis said that breakfast starts at 8:00, so I had 2 hours before anybody else wakes up. I didn't know what to do, and I knew I would probably get bored waiting since I have ADHD. At that time I wanted to hear a familiar voice, I was sure it was already somewere in the afternoon in the Philippines so I decided to call someone, someone familiar. I dialed the number and heard the phone ring, then somebody picked it up.

"Hello Silvia, it's been a long time since you've called me." I heard a voice say at the other end of the line.

I quietly laughed nervously "I'm sorry, I don't have much time nowadays, but it's good to hear from you Yzabella, I miss you guys."

"Do you miss me, or Ken?" Yzabella asked or should I say teased me.

"Yzabella, stop please? Of course I miss you, think why did I call you? Because I miss you so frickin' much." I whispered so I won't wake anyone in the cabin. "Where are you? I think I hear some crickets and running, who is that? I can hear two male voices behind you."

"Relax, I'm just with two friends, we're, uh, travelling, yeah we're just travelling." She said so quickly I almost didn't understand her, but I know she's lying.

"Yzabella Maria Pineda, answer me truthfully. Where. Are. You? Who. Are. Those. 'Friends'?"

"Geez, you're my friend, not my mother. Fine I'm in a part of New York, and I'm with Ken and a new friend, Clover."

"Why are you and Ken in New York?"

"Because, of a reason we can't tell you. Now can we please change the topic?"

"Fine." I sighed in defeat, when Yzabella says she can't tell you, she really can't and won't tell you.

So then we talked about random things but she had no idea that I'm a demigod. After an hour of catching up we finally bid our goodbyes to each other. I still had 1 hour left and decided to use the remaining time to sleep since I felt sleepy again, but I was afraid of the nightmares. Exhaustion got me and once again I drifted to sleep.

I felt someone shaking me, and when I opened my eyes I expected to see my mother, but instead I saw Travis and Connor.

"Wake up, don't wanna be late." Travis said.

I changed into a purple shirt from my bag, shorts that reached my knees, grey/gray rubber shoes and of course my black and blue jacket. I walked over to the pavilion and sat at the Hermes table. I had cereal for breakfast (Demeter would be proud) and after that I looked for Tom. After minutes of finding I found Tom at the big house. I walked towards him and he saw me.

"There you are, come on, you need to see Chiron."

As I went in I immedietly noticed Chiron, in wheelchair form.

"Sir Chiron, Silvia's already here." Tom told Chiron.

"Thomas, please just call me Chiron. Hello Silvia I'm Chiron and Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I know that you are taking a long time to believe and process this."

"Not at all Sir, even before I knew I was a demigod, I kind of believed in the myths, which aren't really myths."

"Well this wouln't be hard as I expected. Now you know that the Greek gods are real, you must do your best to hide this from the mortals. Train and try to survive. Tom, you can go now and give Silvia the tour after you show her the film." And with that he led me to a room with a television and let me watch the educational film. I noticed it was updated as the film showed a picture of every single half-blood, satyr, nymph, leader and creature from Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter, how they managed to make all of them fit is a mystery to me. After that, Tom grabbed my wrist and eagerly ran towards our destination.

First Tom showed me the cabins, I recognized which cabin was which because of the decors and Tom's rant if every single cabin. Next he showed me the archery range, the volleyball and basketball court, the climbing wall, the lake, the armory, the woods (Where he introduced me to a couple of dryads), the site where Jason Grace was building shrines for some minor gods, the pegasus stables, the forge, the arts and crafts section, the lake (where I met some naiads), the woods and finally the strawberry fields. After the tour, since I missed most of the activities of the Hermes cabin I had whole afternoon to do nothing or I could try a few things in camp.

I decided to visit the stables since I liked horses. The pegasi took one look at me and they all lost their minds. They started making nervous horse noises except for one, it was a pretty white pegasus. I walked towards him (I don't know the gender yet and I think it would be disrespectful to call him an 'it') and I reached my hand out to pet him. He actually moved his head forward so my hand reached his head earlier than I expected. At least one pegasus doesn't hate me.

I got my phone and my headset,and walked to the creek in the forest. I looked at my playlist and found the perfect song: Angel With A Shotgun by The Cab, I cry everytime I hear that song. Here I am where nobody would see me as I remembered the accident and my failure, but I liked it in Camp Half Blood. I know I'm gonna have to stay here and I'm fine with that, but then she would also love this place. If I only saved her, maybe she was a demigod too. These thoughts circled my head as I remembered her. If I only saved her........
